Where is the best place to get the best rates for converting from Sterling to Euro, Euro to Sterling and Sterling to Dollar? If you deal with the banks they always give less than the best rates which is annoying especially when the currency you are converting is strong. I heard about currency dealers on Oxford Street but dont know if this is reliable or not. Any suggestions?

We are still married, but in the process of divorcing. He filed married/ separately for 2006 and someone told me that because I am still legally married to him, I can get a copy of the tax return he filed for 2006 just by knowing his social security number. The reason I even care is that he's working under the table, trying to avoid paying child support, and not responding to any of the divorce papers, making it difficult for me/ my lawyer to proceed with things. Does anyone know how I can obtain access to his tax records? Is it even possible?

I already have a Chase credit card, but they keep sending me this offer for a Chase Business Card, and it has a better APR. I don't operate a business. Can I still sign up for this "business" card and transfer my balance from my current Chase card to this one?

My husband and I together with my mother-in-law bought a house a year ago. Everything's going smoothly until a couple months ago my mother-in-law informs us that she could no longer afford her share for the house. So we tried re-financing the house in our hope to make our mortgage go lower but it doesn't look good. If we don't get approved for the re-fi, there's no way my husband and i can afford to shoulder the whole amount of our mortgage!!!

Can anyone tell me what our other options are??? We don't want to lose this house as we know that it'll be harder for us to start over again in the future especially living in San Francisco area.

Please help! Thank you!

I have a terrible, condescending witch of a boss that I have the privilege to be leaving in about two weeks. In the next two weeks, I'd like to make her life as much of a living hell as it can be, but do it legally, and smoothly enough to keep my job until it's time to leave. I know for a fact that I will not need a reference when I leave b/c I'm going to grad school with full funding for the next five years. Here's the kicker - she works for the city and is a vindictive, evil woman, so everything has to be completely legal. Anyone answering that I should just be mature and finish out my prison sentence (haha) is just wasting their time.

I asked this question last night but I figured I'd ask when more people were awake.

I'm subletting a shared room in a townhouse in DC. Change of plans and I'm leaving almost a month early. I signed a sublease agreement so I can see where the problem is, but I paid through August 31. I wouldn't have a problem if she was actually going to be gone and it would be my place until August 31. But she's moving all her stuff back in on August 16th. Since I won't be there and she will it's like I'd be paying for half a month of her rent.

1 month's worth of rent here is worth 3 months worth of rent back home. It would help a lot to get even two days of the money back. She doesn't have to pay any bills with it because the landlord pays all the bills (except cable, which I already paid her separately.)

Do you think I'm right for asking for my money back or should I suck it up since I already signed something? Should I find a person to sublet from me if she won't pay me anything back?

My accountant was always really good up until this year when he kind of went off the deep end with some personal issues. He assured me that he'd file my business return on time and when he didn't he assured me that he filed an extension. Today I received notice from the IRS that there was not an extension filed and that I owe $450 due to my return being filed 3 months late.

What recourse do I have? Will the IRS take into consideration that my accountant failed to do his job and basically lied to me about filing the extension and possibly reduce/waive the penalty? Do I have legal recourse against my now former accountant? Any sound advice would be most appreciated.

thanks.
