I cant sell my land or condo in florida..market is terrible. Hence the pain of making these mortgage payments. I'm barely making it. Paycheck to paycheck. Whats worst is the interest only payments on my condo. I live in it. But big deal. Not building equity and cant refinance either--- too costly. I will never buy property again! Everyone talks about how great it is to own property? Where are perks?? Both properties are cash cows eating away at my savings. Im better off renting and getting rich. If I would have stayed renting I would have saved 50k in the bank! Now instead, im just 150k in debt! Home ownership isnt the American Dream. Its the american nightmare. When you are making mortgage payments the bank owns it. They are just waiting for you to foreclose.

Renting is the greatest! I wish i was a renter again!..No more taxes, association fees, maintenance, and Insurance costs! What a waste of money. I need help.

Dont know what to do. Need help.

I live in a 6 unit apartment complex, but there is only dirty concrete around it and nothing for children to play on. There is no park nearby at all. I let my children play inside in their room all day and the neighbors below me just complained about it today. The landlord came to warn me about it.
Who was wrong? Should the landlord provide better space for children to play, since most of the tenants have small children??

I am a newly licensed agent in the Houston area. I have a network of Real Estate Investors that I deal with. Want to know how to protect my interest on a sale when I don't have a Seller agreement with the owner but I am bringing a buyer to the table. If I have the Buyer sign a Buyer's agreement, is the Seller obligated to pay my commision? How can I prevent a Buyer from going direct to the Seller? If I have the Buyer sign the Buyer's agreement, and then the two parties do a side deal, what recourse do I have? I'm working with investor buyers who are looking for properties. I get lists of investment properties for sale from other investors or agents representing Selling investors. I normally create a spread sheet with all of the properties I get notices on. Some are through 3rd party contacts. Need advice on how to proceed and get my $$$$$

I am in California and thinking of starting a business where I will charge my customers for the services I offer.

However, these services will be offered by pool of moon lighters (registered service providers on my site - most of them working part time for hourly wages). These service providers will be paid for their hours used (no project no payment basis). They are not full time and I am not providing any benefits to them.

Q1: Is this a legal business model? What about 1099 or W-2? Do I need to give them soem kind of tax document at the end of a year?

Q2: Do I pay employer part of taxes for these temp consultants?

Any more details with some links will be appreciated.

Thanks

Ok well tomorrow I have an interview at a local gym for a front desk position. Well since they always ask you in interviews... "What interested you in applying here?" ... I was just wondering if they do ask me that .. if this would be a good answer?

Would this be a good answer?

"I really like the environment here and actually used to come here all the time and the staff has always been very nice and helpful. I also thought it would be a very neat and interesting place to work at while going to school."

I'm a 21 year old college student. I know that I'm young, but we all know how bloody unpredictable life can be, and I wan't to ensure that my family wouldn't be financially burdened. I have about $40,000 in private loan debt, and my co-signer would most likely have to make 48 consecutive payments before they could even request a cancellation of my loans. My question is, how does life insurance work in America? And which firm should I consider? Thank you!

We have a "enclosed patio" that we were using for a den and now the whole room is demolished due to flooding. I filed with our homeowners insurance and the adjuster said that there was previous flooding ....rotten wood etc. The insurace company only gave us a third of what we need to repair the WHOLE room. $2,300 deductible. The sellers disclosure says no flooding so do i go to court? Who has a copy of the inspector's report besides me? Isn't this a violation of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act for failing to disclose a material fact? We've also have had to replace water heater, dishwasher, and plumbing, which all was good in the seller's disclosure.

I am going to try to break the drama down as shortly as possible. My husband has a 401k and he is 100% vested in a plan that allows loans. In April we filled out a loan application and he was told "no: by the owner because the owner felt he was looking for a new job. We filled out another loan application on July 9th. During these 22 days we have been told that he can get the loan but they will turn over the paperwork when they feel like it, he was also told if he asked about the loan or anyone on his behalf asked about it he would be terminated, today the 401k holding company called my husbands employers asking why they didn't recieve the proper forms and telling them they couldn't hold funds. My husbands employer was so mad that he got this call he told my husband to start looking for a new job while screaming and swearing at my husband...Legally, where do we stand? This all seems very shady and illegal to me, any advice would help.

I have been living in Mexico for 2 years and am a bona fide resident of that country. I have been working for a Mexican company since 2006. I paid income taxes to the Mexican government for 2006. I have checked out forms 2555, 2555-EZ, and Publication 54 on the IRS website and they all imply that I should have filed the 2555-EZ justifying my claim for the foreign earned income exclusion. I only made the equivalent of approximately $4,500 in 2006 and my understanding is that I am able to claim an exclusion for US taxes on up to $82,400 for 2006. However, I am confused because Publication 54 also states that I must file a return if my gross income was at least $3,300 if “married filing separately". I'm in the process of filing for my husband's Green Card so all my taxes have to be in order. Would I have to pay a penalty for filing late even if I don’t owe the IRS any back taxes? Thank you in advance for your assistance.
