First of all I am 19 years old I do need a job and I am enrolled at a local community college where I take online courses and evening courses. There is a possibility that I am preg so that needs to be factored in also.
Option 1~ working in a daycare that is about 10 minutes from my house. It is a 40 hour work week at $7.25/hour of course taxes are taken out. The positives of this are that I am basically guarunteed a job until I no longer want one. because there will pretty much always be a need for daycares. The negative would be that I would have to then enroll my child in daycare (which I really DO NOT want to do) and it could not go to the daycare i would work at because they do not take infants.
Option 2~ Nanny about 20 mins from my house. I would only work 20 hrs a week at $10/hour but they are claiming it on their taxes so that does cut down on my income. The positives would be that I would only work 2 days a week and that I could take my child with me.

Me and my Fiancee are planning to buy our 1st home together. We are trying to find a good loan officer w/ lots of experience & avoid getting screwed. We've been going to Wamu agents, private co. & now Bank of America (which recently is promoting no closing fees etc.)- So far Bank of America has the best deal. Im a little skeptical- I've heard lots of horror stories w/ 1st time buyers. We're both doing our homework also, trying to prepare ourselves the best we can. Anyone have advice or suggestions?

I'm hoping I could get some advice as i am pretty inexperienced with all this....

I've found something I can sell on e-bay which I will just list under a personal account - and perhaps open a shop if it sells well - I will be registered as self employed so that I pay all taxes due....

I will use a seperate personal account for all the transactions.

Is this all legal and ok?

Would I have to register a business name, get a business account or do anything else?

Many thanks for any advice.

We are trying to map out a process by which one or more business analysts would interview key members of an organization with the intent of mapping out their various approval processes. We're looking for a rough ballpark of the amount of time/FTE required to conduct the interview portion of this process discovery analysis.

My husband works for AllState and the agent he works under refuses to send out flyers or mailings. He expects him to make "cold calls" all day (while most people are at work) and still generate business. My husband is ready to make some money but how can he get his boss to generate more business by sending out flyers or something. Anybody have an ideas on how we can get my husbands name out there to have people get free quotes without putting money out of our pocket. I mean AllState gives his boss so much to generate business/advertise he is just greedy and won't use it. How can we advertise on our own. Anybody with any ideas, please???

I received this from a recruitment agency after I applied for a job that I appeared to be extremely well qualified for: "Unfortunately our client is really looking to recruit a recently qualified chemist with a maximum of 2 years industry experience. I will keep your CV on file for future reference."

Is this age discrimination? There doesn't appear to be any doubt that I could do the job.

I have a 3 kids and AFDC can't help because I make to much. I can't afford take my kids or myself to see doctor or receive proper medication because I can't afford co-pays. I am the soul provider the kids dad dose not pay child suport. Is there anyone else out there in the same situation? Any sugestions?

I know that it's not a lot of money, but it seems that leaving that money in my savings account will be useless. So if anybody has any idea on what to do with it let me know. Thanks in advanced. By the way I'm sending this question on July 03, 2007.

I am thinking about starting my own business primarly focus on software consulting. I am a full time employee of another company and don't want to quit in near future. I don't have any partners. Can you please help in chosing LLC Vs S-corp.

I have gone through the differences between these two from http://www.powerhomebiz.com/vol136/structure.htm

As I am working for another company, I still have to pay employment tax of 15.3% on net profit in case of LLC.
In case of S-Corp I can take the net profit as dividend so that I don't need to pay the employment tax which makes me lean towards S-Corp. I am hearing LLC is best for small company. I'd like to know which one is best for my situation?

Second part of my question is can one person start the LLC without any managers.(I am the manager and owner)
