I just graduated with my undergrad and am looking for a job. I am going back for my Master's in the Fall, but am looking for a job now.
I need to make upwards of $13 an hour to cover daycare costs. I don't have much work history, I was a server, hostess and bartender 7 years ago (8yrs experience) and have worked in a daycare and as a nanny for the past 6 years.
I'm looking for something that would be first shift, and I need some ideas. Any suggestions?

Hello, I have heard that most property owners who lease out their properties make most of their money from selling it down the road if the value increases. What I want to know is whether there is a substantial earning potential in the actual leasing of the properties. I know it depends on various conditions, but if you one makes the right business decisions can he or she expect to make more money leasing or selling their property in the future?

Each project will be approx $4000 (computer programming work). I have a full-time job and I'm going to do this work on the side during the weekends. Is there anyway to give the government their cut after each job? I hate trying to put money away to pay for taxes not knowing if it is too much or too little.

Could I setup an LLC and pay the taxes that way? Is there anyway to treat this seperate from my normal income taxes?

I'm not sure what the best way to handle this is.

Thanks.

My bf and I became behind on our rent in June for a property that we had been living in for 11 mths. Around the same time we were contacted by our landlord's realtor who advised us that we need to move because she is selling the property. Our lease us up July 31st. Because we were behind on the rent we agreed to leave early w/o a fight. We moved out June 22nd. I was unable to pay June's rent because that money that would have gone to her had to go to the security deposit for the new house. Before we moved she called my 13 year old and told her that she was going to call the sheriff and have us put on the street. Now that we have moved out we have told her that we are going to make arrangements to pay her what we owe her in installments as we realize that we owe her. Now she is calling our employers and disclosing private information about our debt. Can she do this? I have read the Florida statutes but I don't really understand everything they say and they aren't specific.

My roommate and I are in Florida. We are 2 single mom's, very clean, very puctual with rent (we've always been early, NEVER late..) and we pay $1000, and paid an $1800 deposit. We've had issues since occupying the house in November that have yet to be resolved. On a recent visit, my property manager tells me that my roommate and I need to go buy lumber and reinforce the stairs to the front door. Then she tells me to chip some paint off the wall, go to home depot and buy paint to paint all the walls..(I understand touching up, but c'mon, paint the ENTIRE house, when we've never touched it?!) We're on a water well, and our cold water line to the washing machine keeps getting clogged with sand. And the last straw was yesterday. Because the 1st fell on a Sunday, my roommate went to go drop the rent off to her office yesterday, the 2nd. The manager wants to tack on a $100 late fee because we were a day late (mind you, we're always early..) Am I wrong to find her actions unfair?

I haven't outed myself at work yet because I really don't think it is anyone's business. I work with a woman who has something to say about gay people every day and I am at my wit's end. I'm ready to just leave, I don't need the stress in my life. My problem is I don't want to give two weeks notice because I'm pretty much going to out myself when I quit and I don't want to deal with her nasty remarks. Is that wrong?
