My company is developing it's own line of home automation hardware and software and we are looking to raise 1.5 to 2 millions in order to lanch the products. I was looking for some recommendations of good venture capital firms in Florida or even outside of Florida. I am currently working on the business plan and we will be ready to start looking for capital in about a month. Thanks for all help you may be able to supply.

I am looking into consolidating my credit card bills. I don't have good credit. I filed Chapter 7 about 7 years ago. And I done really good at rebuilding my credit until this past year. I have gotten behind in everything. A lot of personal stuff happened and I just can't get caught up. My credit cards are 2 and 3 months behind and I get collection calls everyday. I owe about $7,000 in everything. I don't see a way in my budget I can get them caught up. I need some good advice from someone who consolidated and was happy about it. I also need to know some good companies that are trust worthy. I have tried several times at banks and other places to get a loan to pay my bills off so that I would just have that one loan payment but my credit is screwed now that they won't give me a loan. And I don't have any collateral either. Any help would be great. Thanks. Also, I live in Georgia if that helps.

We just bought a home a few days ago for $80K. But it appraised at $83K. So we have $3K in equity. How soon can we borrow that $3K? We'd love to borrow it now so we can use it to make improvements on the home (thus increasing our equity even more).
And even if we can, is it a good or bad idea to do that so soon?
Thanks!

I currently get paid 25p per mile and we recieved this email yesterday. Is this legal and can it be challenged?

Gents,

With immediate effect, can we please make sure that every expense sheet submitted has fuel receipts attached from now on - the value of which MUST be greater than what you are claiming for (ie - if you are claiming mileage expense for £25 - the fuel receipts must be greater than £25). As also highlighted by BLANK, every site/area also needs to be listed on the sheets as well!

If your expenses do not have the above items (listed or attached) then I will be unable to pay them until they are completed correctly & are compliant regarding the "tax liability" perspective.

This question is an update from my previous question. So the landlord changed the locks without a court order. My friend called the police and they instructed the landlord to let my friend back in the apartment. Were they suppose to instruct her to give my friend a copy of the key too?? All they said that if you can't get in tomorrow to call the police again. Everytime she wants to get in her apartment that's the extreme measures she has to take? That is riduclous!! What legal action can she take to get a key if the landlord won't voluntary submit one to her?

I recently ran into big penalties for submitting a check to my bank that bounced. The issuer gave me another check, but this time I would like to confirm it will not bounce before I try to submit it and get penalized again.

I got this dude's e-mail address from a question on here. He says he gives out personal loans to people $4000-$100,000. He asked for a copy of my ID. He is overseas. Is this a scam? What ways can I be scammed by this? I haven't sent anything yet.

How much might we be looking at paying out of pocket... if we sold a home for 81,000 and paid the buyers closing costs too? A good close guess would really help. We are in Lansing MI if that helps. We will not have any broker fees.

In a home sale, in a standard contract, is it appropriate for the seller to pay the brokerage fees of BOTH realtors involved in transaction? I know everything is negotiable, but as a seller, shouldn't my realtor be negotiating for the buyer to at least pay for their own realtor?

Here's the story: We moved into our townhouse on July 1, 2005. The original term was 1 year to end on June 30, 2006. In the lease it states that the landlord is to give 30 days notice priop to the end of the term for any rent increase. It also stated that the lease was automatically renewing if neither parties did anything it would start over for another year. We received a letter from him on July 10, 2006 (10 days past the ebd of our lease) the letter included our renewal & a rent increase of 15 dollars per month. We signed the renewal even though we knew that he was not allowed to increase the rent. We thought it was a fair increase. We found a larger place and notified the owner on June 8, 2007 that July 14th would be our last day. We signed the new lease yesterday and the next day we received a letter from our current landlord stating that the lease is not up till July 31st. In the lease renewal he extended the lease to now end on July 31st instead of the original terms.
