Well what happened is a Pharcmacy who has money well they gave me someone elses perscription and it was methadone witch is defenitly not mine I looked at the bottle but you dont look for your name untill I was really messed up The dosage on the bottle was fatal if I had taken the whole amount the lawyer said to call the vice president back and make him an offer I was just wondering how much should I ask for and how do I do that, please help me

You probably do not have a case here. The fact that you COULD have taken a fatal dose does not mean that you DID take a fatal dose. Your damages, if any, will be limited to any harm you incurred due to the pharmacy's error.

If your name was not on the bottle, your case is even weaker. You will be considered reasonably responsible for taking prescription medications which held the name of a different person.

If you get an offer for ANY compensation, take it and run to the bank.

Your attorney should be the one to answer that question. You should be dealing with an attorney who is familiar with medical malpractice and such. Your case involves whatever effects the methadone had on you and the possible ramifications of what could of happened if you did not notice the switch. Don't expect this to go to court as the pharmacy will probably settle out of court and the attorney will most likely get 33% of the settlement as their fees. Also, don't expect to get rich off of this mistake nor should you ask for a huge amount of money as this will only prolong the process. I would say anywhere from $10K to $100K considering you said that you haven't suffered greatly from it.
