ontact your mortgage company. the place you send the bill to is the servicer and will be able to answer the bill. they may ask you to send the bill along to them, or they may have already contacted your town and know all the information.

More than likely it's just a formality, and could just be an oversight by your town. Check with the people who hold your loan. It might be just a timing difference. You should be fine either way. If this is the first time you've received a bill from the town and have held the mortgage for a while, it's probably just a glitch, but you'll want to check to make sure. Depending on when the due date is, will determine whether or not you contact someone now, or wait to speak with your broker.

Hope this helps!

You'd need to send it to the mortgage company. Surely there isn't just one person at your mortgage company.

Since your tax payments are made with your mortgage, into an escrow account, the mortgage company pays the bill directly, and deducts the amount from that account. Your escrow payment is usually adjusted annually to allow for changes in tax amount.

You should contact the bank you are actually getting the loan from. Ask them if your loan covers this particular tax.

You can also call the town city hall and ask them for help and advice. Perhaps knowing if you've missed this tax in the past will give you some insight on who pays it.

This happens more often than you think. Contact your mortgage holder when he/she returns and they will have to generate the payment from escrow. Good luck, I see this as being a nightmare for you to get corrected. However, you must get it straightened out.

You need to get your bill to the mortgage company asap so they will pay it.
