There's a growing groundswell of opposition to the substantial discounts given by builders to private investors who buy houses to let. Rightly or wrongly, first-time buyers blame them for pushing up house prices.

As in North America and Australia, most private buy-to-let investors are ordinary people who see their investment as an ideal way to create enough retirement pension to live on.

As Chancellor, Gordon Brown's record on 'improving pensions' was hardly a success, and the UK old-age pension (US: social security) is no longer enough to live on.

Can we believe that as Prime Minister he will actually help house buyers by bringing changes to the housing market? Or just stop those trying to help themselves in old age?

I took the full year off work 6 months smp and 6 months unpaid...im due to return around the 2nd of aug but also have holidays i have to take...if i take the holidays and dont return to work what happens and if i dont take the holidays and dont return to work do i have to pay anything back

Nikolai., Inc., a closely held company, wishes to engage Francis, CPA, to examine its annual financial statements. seriously, I've been turning in applications everywhere & the places haven't called me yet, the earliest applications I turned in was like a month ago or a month & a half, & I kept on turning in applications since then, most recent was this past monday, I applied at two grocery stores, 1 fast food place, which is In-An-Out, & the rest was all clothing stores, & they haven't called me in for an interview yet. It's pissing me off, well I've never really had a job before, except for Abercrombie & Fitch, I only worked there 2 days because they ****** me over, like they hired me, but I didn't get any working hours, like every time I went inside the store to print out my schedule, I always had no hours on there, I kept doing that several other times but then gave up, cause it was like that all the time, I asked the assistant manager & she the said the store was going through transition because I applied there, it was at the beginning of January. I only got 1 paycheck which was 45 bucks.

I am new to the field of merchandising. I travel to various stores within a 50-100 mile radius, stocking and servicing different products. I travel anywhere between 30 and 200 miles per day. Can I deduct this milage on my income tax return for 2007 as a job expense?If so, how should I best keep records of my milage? What about gas? Can that be an expense as well? I do not get paid milage reimbursement from the company that I work for, if that makes a difference. Thanks in advance for all your advice.

if u want to open up a bussiness, let say a restaurant.u don't have the money to build up the building.u need $10000.why not borrow $10000 from a loan shark(yes,dangerous indeed but plis read more).use the money up and when its payback time, borrow another $10000 from another loan shark.pay him.do this until you've made a profit of more than $10000.is this strategy's good?

I just got a job as a hostess, i know when people walk in i'm supposed to say hello how are you and how many are in your party and stuff like that...
