Can I draw unemployment?

I got laid off from a job I worked at for 6 months. I worked at my other job 5 years before that. Since I have not drawn unemployment since 1999, will I be able to while I look for a new job?

Yes, it shouldn't be a problem. Depending on the rules in your state, they might go back to the previous job if you didn't have enough time on the new job to collect from that - in either case, you should get unemployment benefits.
