if i recieved a speeding ticket 90 days ago and had 90 to return my papers saying i completed my defensive driving class but have not done so because of a 3-4 week delay in recieving papers to send to my court, what do i do. i mean i will miss the due date and a warrant will be issued for my arrest, but i think it is ridiculas, what do i do. should i call and explain my situation to the judge, i am a student and work every weekend. if they refuse to accept my defensive driving course stuff, what will happen to me, will they really come and arrest me over the thing, or can i just pay a late fee or something along the lines of that

I've used a shop vac to get out most of the wetness, but now it is still damp and I think it's starting to get that still moist/ mildewy smell. It there some sort of powder or something I can put down to soak up the water and possibly get rid of the oder?

A few thousand is nothing compared to the numbers of people that have died in other countries from our CIA and military police actions. We bombed Iraq every day for ten years (and now we wonder why we can't win their hearts and minds).

Why is everyone so freaked out about terrorism? Your chance of being killed by a terrorist is less than your chance of being killed by lightning which is less than your chance of winning the lottery which is less than your chance of dying in a twisted lump of metal because someone twitched their wrist on the freeway.

Everyone seems, on the surface, to agree that education is important for our children... but why does it always stop there?

As soon as the question of raising taxes to fund education comes up, that attitude is all but forgotten. Nationally teachers make very little money compared to other professionals with a 4 year degree. If we paid an adequate salary, would the caliber of teacher increase as fewer people are turned away from the profession by economic factors? Class sizes are constantly getting larger, so our children receive less personal attention. Shouldn't current textbooks with accurate information be a necessity? The long term benefits for our children, and our country, seem to more than justify a small increase in taxes. How about once a month everyone gives up one of their $4.00 visits to Starbucks and we put that money where it will do some good!

Looking to purchase a home and I don't think that I will qualify for a mortgage on my own. So, thinking about adding on a co-signer who will most likely be one or both of my parents. Do they then have to be listed on the deed as an owner of the property as well? The plan would be then after a year or two to 'buy' them out. Would there have to be an exchange of money to do that? Or could I simply re-finance the loan into my name only and have them removed from the deed at the same time? Looking for ways on how this is done with joint ownership.

Not sure if it matters but I live in Maryland in case someone knows specific laws in that state.
