Do not mail anything. They charge $30 extra to find you guilty. Go to court, the court lawyer will make you a deal just to save time. Try to get paperwork from a shop: the inspection machine was broken, waiting on a part, they ran out of stickers, any BS on paper. Just telling the judge a sad story prolly won't do it. Do not show up looking too prosperous. Good luck.

Probably not. You didn't follow the law. It's like trying to get out of a ticket for running a red light when a hundred people saw you do it. Unless you have proof that you actually had the inspection, but just didn't put the sticker on your window, you're screwed.

Why are you trying to get out of a $75.00 ticket you deserve. If there was a valid excuse then you would know the answer, cause that is what happened. Since you are on here fishing for a way out, then you are guilty and just don't want to take responsibility. I have no sympathy for you. Grow up and learn responsibility.
A No Valid Inspection ticket is hard to beat. You either had it or you didn't. It is not your word against the officers word like rolling through a stop sign. It is not up to debate if the radar gun was in proper or working order or that the officer was properly trained on it. It is simply you had it or you didn't.
Go pay the $75.00 and stop wasting peoples time by trying to fight it in court. People like you are the ones raising the tax dollars. Did you know that if you take it to court, then the officer has to be there too. The court dates usually fall on that officers day off. Which means he is gong to get paid overtime for being there. So by fighting a ticket you are guilty of to avoid paying the $75.00 you are making the City pay the officers overtime. Where do you think the City gets the money. Your Tax dollars.
Rahrah stated: Unless you have proof that you actually had the inspection, but just didn't put the sticker on your window, you're screwed..... As far as I know State Inspection Stickers are placed on the vehicle by the Inspector. So that will only get a laugh from the court.

Not likely. I've done that twice (duh...) here in Texas. Get the inspection done within ten days, present proof to the court, pay $10, and it goes away.
I can see that $75 is a good bit more painful.

Pay up and don't ever do that again. That's what fines are for.
