My wife and I live in South Florida. We are both 55 Florida is a "world" where everyone sells their houses every few years, constantly moves from job to job, state to state, and all are 'living' for one goal; retire as soon as possible! We are the opposite; 20+ years at our jobs. My wife would like to semi-retire at 67, then work part-time. I want to work until 85 (50 years on my job at that time!), and we are still living in the same house for 25 years. Instead of moving all over, like everyone else, we rent a house, for two weeks, in a different part of the country, every year.

With so many people around us constantly 'selling and moving,' (all our neighbors have changed every few years), we sometimes think that we are not doing the right thing by "staying put!"

I think we are on the "right track" with this. What do the rest of you think?

PS We would like to have a summer home. My wife and I are considering Maryville, Tennessee. Anyone know the area?

You are so quick to portray God as a harsh and unmeriful God. Why because he disciplines?
can't a loving father discipline his children?
do you discipline your own children?
If it wasn't for Gods love and discipline I wouldn't be where i am now. I would be dead or in jail.

That wasn't my boyfriend. It was at a club and we were dancing and just reached over and started making out with him. I was a little drunk so I'm sure alchol had a lot to do with it. Is that really cheating and should I tell my boyfriend since I know I will never see the guy again, since I gave him a wrong number.

So is the fact that the WBTS lessesd the penalty on dicipline for receiving a blood transfusion 7 years ago "Old News"?

I don't remember it being announced in any of the magazxines or publications.

Is this like when they said it was ok to have Organ transplants, or to receive Vaccinations?


Will it go something like this: Having a blood transfusion was a Disfellowshipping offense....Now it is a Disassosciating offense...

From a disassosciating offense ..to a matter of consciense....

From a matter of conseience to a command to follow the "New Light" and a commmand to partake

From "New Light" command to..a disfellowshipping offense for not having a blood transfusion and considered suicide...?


We all have watched this pattern with other Witness edicts...What abouyt this one...We all can see this coming!

Every relationship has a chaser and a chasee. Either the man is in control and the woman is chasing him (bad boy) and never really catches him (why she falls in love and stays Interested in the first place).

Or... The woman is in control and the man is chasing her (nice guy) but never really catches her (because she knows she has him by the balls).

Why does it have to be like this? Seems there are no couples who are equally satisfied in their relationship. There is always one person who feels like they settled or is hoping to get something better, and one person who is not satisfied because they can't get all the attention or love they want from their partner.

My ex sees our daughter maybe for 3 hours per week. Our daughter is 6 and all she wants is for him to pay attention to her. He is now starting to date his ex girlfriend who is married, but going through a seperation, not to mention, her oldest son is more than likely my ex's. Her husband has NO IDEA!!
I think this is just plain ridiculous, not to mention he still owes me 2500 is child support, but is helping her with an attorney to get the divorce.
I have gotten along with all of his ex girlfriends. I just feel that our daughter should not be pushed into a relationship with this girl. For the 3 hours he sees her per week, I think he could hang out with her alone, not with his girlfriend there. He wants to have his girlfriend and her two kids (remember one might be his) move in with him. Am I wrong for thinking this will CRUSH our daughter? What if she gets close or in the future has a crush on her son...HELLO, that could be her brother!! I feel like I am deceiving her!!!

Pornography and especially child porn is out of control through out the world and the forced sex, physical pain , mental horror and degragation perpetrated on these innocent victims is certainly crimes against humanity and warrants the involvement of the United Nations. The pleading, screaming and eventually broken hearts and minds of the adults, juveniles, and little babies are suffering hour after hour, day in and day out, month after month and eventually years are being ignored. This is a oppurtunity for the U.N. to receive a huge amount of respect instead of being manipulated by a superpower for various conviences.

I am in need of a Christmas Miracle. I am a single mother of 4 children. I work full time and bring home mabey 300.00 a week. I have one child who is ADHD/Bi-Polar and with his Dr. appts and problems at school I miss alot of work! I struggle very hard to keep my family togeather and pich every penny as hard as I can. I have tried so many different avenues for assistance, and yet have found none. I am so tired of looking my children in their eyes and telling them no we can't or mommy cant afford it, only for them to turn around and tell me it's okay mommy, it will get better, I will get bigger and help you. My 5 year old once told me she would go without lunch to save me money, ouch, that hurt my heart. I am not one to really ask for HELP but , I cannot stand the thought of my children going without this year, heck I would be grateful for some winter coats and shoes for them. My bills are so far behind that I am afraid to answer my phone, afraid my car will be repoed.PLEASE HELP US!!!!

with having a co-ed baby shower? MY husband and I are expecting our first child in April and my sister is throwing my shower. My husband wants to be there and I want him there so I told her we were going to do a co-ed shower and she freaked saying that men aren't allowed at baby showers (what is this 1920?). She said showers are for the mom...I told her no it's for SHOWERING THE BABY...isn't the co-ed baby shower a new trend? not that I am trying to be trendy I just want to share it with my husband...thoughts?
