Because there are no legal grounds for impeachment. The DEMS have been talking of impeaching Bush and Cheney since the day they stepped into office...but why haven't they??? Because they have nothing on them! Which goes to the credibilty of President Bush! Regardless of what the DEMS may claim- Bush has run a clean Presidency otherwise he would be out.

Some of the answers, above me, are 'Hilarious'. A Great laugh.
O.K.,the 'little insult' already knew that nothing could be done with this farce, so he uses it to get publicity, that's all.
I am hoping that some where, some time-soon, someone in the Democrat party, wakes up and shakes the bed bugs out from the sheets !!!!
Dam*ed folks, this same ol' shiz is getting OLD !!!!
Same old stuff, all of the time. Would someone PLEASE let the Dem's in on some NEW INFORMATION??? PLEASE, lets have some diversity!!!
Something interesting and different, such as :: For the U.S.A'S Christmas present, ROSIE O'DONNELL, is announcing her candidacy for PRESIDENT OF THE USA, and expects to knock out ALL of the contending candidates, Democrat, and Republican !!!!!!
OR how about : President= Pelosi, Vice President= Reed, Secretary of State= Kucinich, Dept. of Immigration= New Yorks Governor, AND to show respect for 'time served', Attorney General=BILLARY !!!!
At least it would be different !!!!!!!

Because as much as it is talked about by the populace, the nation as a whole does not have the stomach for it. When polled most Americans say no to impeachment. This would change if the masses used their voices and said yes to impeachment and called their respective representatives in the House and Senate. This however will never happen.
WIth everything that is happening right now, lousy housing market, skyrocketing gas prices, home heating oil prices skyrocketing, people have, in their minds, more important things to worry about

They know that ultimately it is a waste of time because they will not get 60 votes to convict in the Senate and they want to spend their time on more important things.
Oh, well, I want to believe that but then look at the "important things" that were voted on yesterday:
1. H.CON.RES.60 : Expressing support for the goals of Veterans Educate Today's Students (VETS) Day, and for other purposes.
7. H.RES.728 : Expressing the support and sympathy of the House of Representatives and the people of the United States for the victims of the devastating flooding that occurred across many parts of Ohio in August 2007 and commending the communities, volunteer organizations, churches and emergency response agencies for their continuing work to restore the affected areas across the state.
8. H.RES.782 : Expressing the sense of the House with respect to the Boston Red Sox victory in the 2007 Major League Baseball World Series.
17. H.RES.805 : Honoring the life of Dr. D. James Kennedy.
19. H.R.1119 : A bill to amend title 36, United States Code, to revise the congressional charter of the Military Order of the Purple Heart of the United States of America, Incorporated, to authorize associate membership in the corporation for the spouse and siblings of a recipient of the Purple Heart medal.
48. H.R.4095 : To direct the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to conduct a rulemaking regarding the use of aspheric outside mirrors on passenger cars, and for other purposes.
54. H.R.4101 : -- Private Bill; For the relief of Christopher Freking.
55. S.RES.367 : A resolution commemorating the 40th anniversary of the mass movement for Soviet Jewish freedom and the 20th anniversary of the Freedom Sunday rally for Soviet Jewry on the National Mall.
57. S.RES.369 : A resolution designating November 25, 2007, as "Drive Safer Sunday".
58. S.RES.370 : A resolution supporting and encouraging greater support for Veterans Day each year.

Because as you well know, impeachment was taken off the table by the Dem leadership in the 06 midterms.
The reason why as you also probably know, is it would be bad for The USA in a time of war.

Pelosi and Reid incorrectly think that they can sit back, do nothing and gain even more seats and power in 08. They don't want a Cheney impeachment disturbing their vision.
Democrats are getting sick of business as usual. They want someone to show that they have a spine.

It is purely partisan politics and a continuation of the Dems wasting everyone's time and accomplishing nothing while in control of Congress. Kudos to them for ensuring the Reps will regain power if they keep up their antics. The approval rating is down to 11% from 40% simce the Dems have been in control!
