Sahara: I don't spend time on the couch. I have been In the workforce probably since before you were born. I was active in college and and after in many community projects. I know my Congressman and state Senator.
I was active in the Democratic party until it went to far , and left many years ago for Conservatism.
We need a 2 party system and we need both to come back to the grass roots.

Liberals advocate the promotion of sexual harassment laws, that seek to codify conduct between the sexes, these codes will be determined by the most neurotic of females and any deviation will be an offense that if given a chance liberals would deem jail-able. How about hate crime legislation? That elevates some of us (the protected classes, women, gays, racial minorities) above others(white or Jewish males) This negates the worth of the individual and makes us all members of groups. The same can be said of affirmative action, or quotas used in college admissions. This intrusion sought by the fascist left is typical of what liberals have in mind for all of us. A patronizing view that all of us are too stupid to manage our own lives, and only with the help of a strick code of conduct, enforced by the elites can we have a fair(not free) society. Let's look at the facts, shall we..
They believe the "little people "are not smart enough to make decisions in their own lives.
The belief that they need to control every aspect of your life.
from the food that you eat, to what social programs your taxes
should go to. But without control, they simply increase the
tax burden every year without regard, in such , the average in the middle class families income is unable to keep up.

I too am a former , I'm ashamed to admit, Dem.
Who just came to realize that our party block was being run
over by "the limousine liberal crowd". And we regular Dem's

The only reason they care about "Illegals" is because it will
assure them an uneducated, blind, uninformed, vote without question, every year, voters block.

"FOR THE PEOPLE!" Wake up AMERICA. Let's do something while there is still a place to save, a place we could still call home, a place where it's stll safe for your children to play outside. Without the constant fear that many
parents have to live with in these big cities of today. If they can take their eyes off a child for one second , before one
of these neighborhood wack jobs, takes off with their babies.

In its current form I would say there is a legitimate argument to concur with that statement. Forcing people into government dependency is one step that is for sure. Another step is squashing debate through character assassination and control of the media. I am not saying it will end up a dictatorship but the steps are being followed that are historically taken enroute to dictatorship.

Liberalism is not a form of dictatorship nor is conservatism. What we see in this country are classic examples of fanaticism which is always wrong, always leads to problems and almost always leads to censorship and, by extension, a form of dictatorship.

We really need to stop fighting their [the individual politicians] battles for personal and political leverage, not get sucked into the their prepubescent angst and think about what is best for this country. No one is purely liberal or purely conservative. We're all moderates at the end of the day and it's high time we stopped chasing the bogeyman and saw the forest through the trees.
