if i recieved a speeding ticket 90 days ago and had 90 to return my papers saying i completed my defensive driving class but have not done so because of a 3-4 week delay in recieving papers to send to my court, what do i do. i mean i will miss the due date and a warrant will be issued for my arrest, but i think it is ridiculas, what do i do. should i call and explain my situation to the judge, i am a student and work every weekend. if they refuse to accept my defensive driving course stuff, what will happen to me, will they really come and arrest me over the thing, or can i just pay a late fee or something along the lines of that

call them.. let them know you need it extended.. most states will cut you a bit of a break.. but call or they will think your are diss'n them.

they wont hunt you down to arrest you, but if you get pulled over again.. you will have a warrant.

Dont ignore it. Call and ask for an extension. If you are reasonable and polite, they will usually work with you. If they end up issuing a warrant they will come and arrest you and you will have to post bond to get released.

I would mail in copies or if you have to send originals make copies for yourself; do that today. Then call and explain maybe they are aware of the delay. Just make sure you CYA (cover your a$$).
