My taxes are past due and I need help. I dont want to lose my house over $1800. I have just had a bad year and need help. I had lost a long time job (10 yrs) earlier in the year which set me back. I am now working full time but I have gotten behind.

So: Earlier this evening while I was at work, my mother decided to make her first attempt at trimming my lab's nails. She went about it with no experience or knowledge, and used the guillotine clippers.
I come home tonight, only to find blood streaks on the floor of her room, and my mother's story that the dog pulled away, causing them to have pulled out one of her nails entirely.
I've suggested taking her to a vet, and this has been taken into consideration. Has this happened to anyone else?

I'm 18 and six and a half months pregnant. my baby's father wants nothing to do with the child, and is in talks of getting married with his girlfriend (who doesn't know about the child) I was pregnant before, and had a miscarriage so i have some idea how hard it is to lose a child (and its the hardest thing) but he is pushing highly for the adoption, along with my parents. My parents think i should because I'm not a mentally stable person (I have sever depression and am suicidal, also most people think I'm bi-polar but i haven't seen a therapist since I got pregnant with my first child) I don't really want to give my child up because I'm already in love but i have no support, and no way of raising this child (i keep waiting for the fairy tale ending where the dad decides he'll help but instead i get he's getting married, and child support from him isn't really an option) So i was wondering if theres anything online to read, or where should i turn so i can start the adoption process.

Because George Bush has failed to achieve a miltiary victory, he has displayed (on an Islamic holy day) a brutal and barbaric hanging of a broken tyrant, Saddam, now executed by the U.S. puppet state in Iraq. Does Bush expect Americans to cheer for his sorry loser tactics? Is he really so stupid to believe Americans can be deceived again, or is he just jaded and evil? We've killed 600,000 Iraqis, with 20,000 maimed U.S. soldiers and 3,000 dead, just so Bush could avenge a death threat against his dad. Was it worth the price? I was just curious as to how you go about getting investors to lay the money into your project or business. And how you go about finding these people that are willing to do things like that? Is talking to an investor like talking to the bank, or is a totally diffrent world talking to an individual investor? Any and all insight on this question would be great and appreciated

Is fasting safe for kids? I don't really know much about it but to me in my opinion it just seems really unhealthy. I get the idea of it and why people do it, but my friend's church is doing it for the youth section and to me that doesn't seem right. My friend is 16, and there's kids as young as 9 in her "youth group". And her pastor is wanting everyone to fast for atleast 7 days straight with no food and only water.

Isn't that unhealthy for kids that are growing and need the everyday protein, etc.? I understand maybe for adults if they wish, but kids? I've talked to my friend about it and what she thinks, she's normaly really religious and so far the only thing she's said about it is atleast she'll lose a lot of weight. There's so many factors of this fasting with the kids that I think aren't right.

I USED to get 35 mpg. then suddenly it went down to lower than 20. I had it looked at, was told there were no leaks, put 5 gallons in it, and got 150 miles in a single trip (appx 30 mpg) so am I being paranoid? Or is someone stealing my gas? (I know some cars have a kind of mesh thing that will keep hoses from being able to reach all the way down into the tank...is my Jetta one?)

My teenager and I will be listening to the radio and a song will come that he will say is good. When I start singing it kind of freaks him out (which is why I do it!). It is really funny when he does not know that the song is simply a cover.
One we disagree on is Under Pressure, orig. by Bowie and Queen, which I think is the better of the two.
What other remakes have you heard that are as good, worse, or better than the original?
