My teenager and I will be listening to the radio and a song will come that he will say is good. When I start singing it kind of freaks him out (which is why I do it!). It is really funny when he does not know that the song is simply a cover.
One we disagree on is Under Pressure, orig. by Bowie and Queen, which I think is the better of the two.
What other remakes have you heard that are as good, worse, or better than the original?

I am very leery of covers. there has to be a VERY good reason to do so

Haha I'm a huge fan of My Chemical Romance and The Used, who does the cover of the song Under Pressure, but I think the original is better. The newer version is more catchy, but the old one is such a classic...

i think that my chemical romance/the used's version of under pressure is as good as the original

also, disturbed's version of ''landof confusion'' is a thousand times better than the original by genesis

nothin will ever replace the orginal but its nice to hear a new artists take on a classic and its good to here this generation paying omage to the past
