Because George Bush has failed to achieve a miltiary victory, he has displayed (on an Islamic holy day) a brutal and barbaric hanging of a broken tyrant, Saddam, now executed by the U.S. puppet state in Iraq. Does Bush expect Americans to cheer for his sorry loser tactics? Is he really so stupid to believe Americans can be deceived again, or is he just jaded and evil? We've killed 600,000 Iraqis, with 20,000 maimed U.S. soldiers and 3,000 dead, just so Bush could avenge a death threat against his dad. Was it worth the price? (I forgot to mention the billions of $$$$ costs . . . )

P.S. We all know the Americans didn't put the rope around Saddam's head, but we did hand over Saddam, a 'prisoner of war' to the Iraq state, which violates the Geneva Convention (Who cares, right?) and so we will forever be perceived as the power behind the puppet state who killed him, so we might as well have done ourselves live on television from Rockefeller Center, NYC, right? It's also possible that Bush will eventually be sued by Saddam's family in civil court, a thought too delicious to consider (remember O.J. Simpson's 2nd civil trial?)

Anyone who is naive enough to believe that anything done but a puppet regime in Iraq, is without the permission and approval of George Bush, deserves their own company.
Let's see how easily the gullible public swallows a media circus, this time. Nuremberg was conducted as an INTERNATIONAL event, with the cooperation of the world's governments. Iraq and American are isolated as all of our important allies have endorsed the autonomy or Iraq, but condemned the execution. No one sugessts that Saddam didn't deserve to die. But why couldn't he die in the Netherlands like his Serbian equal, Milosovic? The 'legitimacy' of Saddam's death will have implications in world affairs, especially concerning Arabs, for decades, just watch and see. Why can't Bush get ANYTHING right?

You are not alone. I'm sick of it. Bad idea to air this video. We have been thought to hate and sit comfortably watching "a human being die" what makes us different from saddam hussein when we can watch this at his soul's expense? Watching a human being A HUMAN BEING Being hanged, left to die( regardless) is unorthodox.

Let's try getting the facts straight. Saddam was hung by the Iraqi government after a fair trial and having been found guilty of numerous offenses which all carried the death penalty. There weren't any Americans involved in the hanging, it was an all Iraqi affair, and it was not done on a Muslim holy day as the Muslim day begins at dawn and he was executed just before dawn. This was done by design on the part of the Iraqi government since they didn't want to besmirch a holy day with the tyrant's execution. You'd realize that if you bothered to read before shooting your mouth off. A minority of Iraqis are angry with the sentence being carried out but by far the majority are celebrating it.
I suppose you would have gotten all teary eyed after the Nuremberg Trials were completed after World War Two and the top Nazis were executed in the same manner as Saddam. Do you sob and moan at the thought of poor old Adolf Eichmann being hung by the Israelis after being given a fair trial and better treatment than that piece of human filth deserved? Yeah, I thought as much.

I don't live in America, but I think you're exaggerating the news coverage of Saddam's execution. In any case, the importance of the event demands a detailed news analysis. So, it is proper that all media outlets cover the demise of this evil man.
Also, the Iraqi judiciary decides the penalty for convicted criminals in Iraq. Iraqis also decide the timing and method in which penalties are carried out.
President Bush has no say in such matters.
I'm sure that most Americans would agree with me. I doubt that they would draw the same conspiratorial conclusions that you have come up with.

Yes I am sick of it, and it shows what a personal vendetta this whole Iraq thing was. Bush killed 3000 americans, mained 25000, murdered hundereds of thousands of Iraqis just to settle a score. I hope all those GI out there feel good about putting their lives on the line for Dubyas daddy.

I agree with you. I actually asked the queston on Friday evening about why did Saddam's lynching get so much press coverage and there was hardly a word mentioned on Friday regarding Gerald Ford or James Brown, both great Americans in their own right who passed away this week. James Brown had a service on Friday that attracted many top names but there was never a mention of it until it hit the papers on Saturday morning.

How can you be sick of the news? I think you need to do some research on why and who hung the guy. I can't get enough of the video footage of the hanging personally.

I, personally, don't watch the news simply because I don't care what happens to people outside of my circle of family and friends.. Call me pathetic, but as long as me, my family and my friends are doing good, I could care less.
