I am currently sick with a cold and I remember that my mother used to tell me that eating chocolate and drinking milk while sick with a cold can cause excess mucus in the the throat/chest area... is this true? or is this just another one o those silly wives tales?

So many people say: "What would God do..." "Would he get angry"
I understand that although humans are limited in their ability to think outside human terms (non linearly), but why do so many people also reference God and His actions as if he was a single entity in one exact area. Its like trying to tell someone where in the atom the electron is EXACTLY. (we simply say where it is probable to be, but we know it is there). The disputes that occur do so because God is being limited to what we can fathom. Why can't we try and think "outside" the box? Is it the default of our mind to think that way? True, God is a father, but this simply describes of His nature - one of love. God=Love, so why isnt God as you interpret him to be, not a solid, inert statue in a church?

I was talking to a friend 3 weeks ago.We both have babies mine is 5 months and hers is 4 months. Well she asked me if my son had started talking and I looked at her strange and I said what do you mean she said well my little girl can say MAMA and DADA. I told her really let me see and she said her baby is to shy but come on..Saying MAMA and DADA at 4 months..What does anyone think about this.Do you think that the baby said it?

Is there anything I can do or say today to keep his interest peaked? We just started being officially dating, and I'm nervous and have old hang-ups about things going bad after a label is put on them.
No, I can't have sex with him, it's that time...and I might only get to talk to him on the phone or see him for like 30 mins after work tonight.
I just need to know how to keep things flowing, because I know we have different schedules and he's really social while I'm a work/school-aholic at the moment.
Plus, other girls were after him and we started getting together, so there's pressure. And I've never had so many people not like me before EVER, just for doing what I want finally. Anyway, getting sidetracked...I would like to keep it fun and worth all the effort...hope my question made sense :/

To the lovely people of Palm Springs, CA, especially the pet lovers I met while we were there last weekend; THANK YOU!
I love dogs, and we have 3 of our own. Going to your city where pets could be in any restaurant or stores made me wish I live in your city!
Every time a see any dogs being abandoned on the streets, especially the old ones made me so mad at those people who did it! I wish those people who did it will live on the street someday, so that they will know how it feels to be abandoned!
To see the other side of reality, people lavishing affection and care to their pets made me so happy that I want you all pet lovers to know, someone out there, appreciate and admire what you do to your pets.
From our own; Mickey, Nemo, and Jasmine.....we all say a HUGE, "THANK YOU SO!"

Our office is looking to decorate for all Religious and Cultural Genres. I have Christmas (tree), Feliz Navidad (?), Kwanza (7 principles) and Hanukkah (menorah, driedel)?

Am I missing anything-Any ideas on how to decorate for each one. I have a wall per holiday/culture with enough room for 6 different displays (large odd shaped room). I have to start shopping for this next week and i am at a loss on how to make it come together for as little as possible!

My public high school orchestra which is located in the United States is scheduled to perform 'Hatikvah', the national anthem of Israel, at a large, public performance in New York City. Do you feel that this is an appropriate performance piece? Consider the controversial political and religious implications of the piece and the performing group. Thanks for your feedback.

I'm at my wits end. I am a mother of a 13yr daughter. with severe learning disabilities. Her hand- writting ability is at kindergarten level. Her reading ability is 2nd grade at best. Her academics is 3rd grade functional. She has always been delayed in speech and motor skills(she didn't speak until she was 4( (even now its deaf tonal. she does have a mild hearing loss. Nothing that warrants a hearing aid) She has received speech,OT, and physical therapies since she was 2. The problem is not her delays its the fact she is intelligent enough to understand her delays and gets frustrated at her inability to perform or learn like other kids. She is not feeling as smart or as capable as other teenagers and is getting teased) She has begun to lash out verbally(this is not like her. She is always well behaved in class compared to other kids in SLD/ESE). She is BEAUTIFUL, But I feel her sprit is broken she has given up on herself and school she told me she wants to cut class and hide.
