If my family doesn't approve of my significant other I'd still choose my significant other. I mean like hey, sure my family had been with me for practically my whole life and my parents raised me up, but I as an individual am free to choose whoever I want.

That depends. Is your significant other a creep? In jail? Does drugs? Cheat on you? Make you feel like crap and yet always says he's sorry only to keep repeating the same mistakes?
The next question is - are you in a state of denial or are you being honest in your answers?
Except for a cheating abusive husband.., a woman marries a man to be his wife and her place is with him. And visa versa.

My husband is my life mate,soul mate even, so there is no way that I could be away from him......my family are independent people and could deal with long distance relationships.
