Firstly, I won't pay USD6000 for a HDTV. That's way over priced. Secondly, there's no strong compelling reason to watch anime and cartoons on a HDTV unless the signal/quality is in HD quality.
Sure I would love to watch anime and cartoons on a good display and at an affordable price.

Probably not. For best effect, I would buy an old TV like the ones they had when cartoons were at their peak.

To each his own! If that's what you like, why not? It is a bit expensive for just anime and cartoons but whatever floats your boat! :)

Only if you have a sweet 7.1 surround sound to go with it and and great home theater chair.
