我接了一個企劃案，想設定個公司的品牌名稱。
要用一個英文做表示，想請問英文的文法是否對？
設計的是西套裝類型的。
現在有想要呈現的中文意思是：「典型的優雅」

這個問題我早就想問了，所以我先把報紙那那則新聞看不懂的地方給它劃上了紅線。


這是2007.07.25的 Taipei Times

１.新聞Title ：Americans trust congress over Bush
↑這個標題(抬頭)我大致上是看懂的，但是我不明白的是在於那個『Over』，到底在此是字典中的什麼意思呢？？？介係詞還是什麼？

另外則是這則新聞的Content：
Most of the U.S sees President George W. Bush as too inflexible on the war in Iraq and perfers that the Democratic-run Congress have the final word on when to withdraw U.S forces................

看不懂被我畫紅線的就是這一段：
『the Democratic-run Congress have the final word on when to withdraw U.S forces.』
２.什麼是democratic-run？是國會中的民主黨黨團嗎？類似台灣立法院的政黨黨團嗎？還是什麼？那為什麼這Run在字典中又是哪個對應字？

３.還有就是『Final word』，什麼意思啊？

４．另外就是文法的問題，『on when to withdraw U.S forces.』
怪怪的，介係詞不是接V-ing 或者N.嗎？ 怎麼接了這個When ，然後When怎麼後面又接個to(不定詞)？？？文法根本沒看過這種用法呀~~~~~~~

文法中 could have 用在可能發生但未發生的情況，

EX: The situation was bad but it could have been worse.

(情況可能更糟但未發生)

但是下面這兩種情況

EX: The trip was canclled last week. Paul couldn't have gone anyway
because he was ill.

(Paul沒有去任何地方但未發生，實際上就是說Paul有去)

EX: You did very well to pass the exam. I'm sure I couldn't have passed
it.

(我沒有通過這次考試但未發生，就是說我有通過。)


上述兩個我的中文解釋似乎與正確的文意剛好相反了，是哪裡的文法觀念有了錯誤，希望各位大大能多多指教一番，謝謝。

如果說某種產品的價格是根據供給和需求來決定的話
那麼英文中 『根據』的這個單字片語是要使用
in accordance with 或者是用 be based on 呢...

感覺好像放在句子中都可以用呢..

1.平常外國人對話中，也會這樣說嗎??還是寫作時才用??
