Instead of saying that I like playing computer games, I would
say that I like to search for new knowledge through the internet.
這樣表達就可以了!

這句話的含意是: 事實的狀況比較偏向[B].
英文裡可以用[比較級]的說法:
[more B than A]
與其說我喜歡打電腦, 不如說我喜歡從網路上找尋新知識.

[喜歡打電腦]的意思應該類似[沉迷於電腦], 英文的[沉迷於]可以簡單地用[into]表示.
[喜歡從網路上找尋新知識]照翻當然可以, 但是精簡地說就是[從網路上學習].
這句英文直譯就是:
我比較像是一個[喜歡從網路上學習]的人, 而不像[沉迷於電腦]的人.
完整的寫法:
I am more of a person who likes learning from the internet than of a person who is merely into computers.

A, or rather B. 與其說是 A, 不如說是 B.
