I am considering moving from the London to the Atlanta to start a family. Does anyone know the key differences(negative & positive) of living in the States to living in the UK.
Thanks

I'm taking my family to Disney this summer. We have 2 children, 9 & 5 years old. We are spending 6nights, 7days and going to the Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, MGM, & Sea World. How many days should I allot in the Magic Kingdom with 2 kids? I want to have enough time to see all this & actually enjoy it, not rush through it. Thanks!

Can you just hop on the cable cars anywhere along its route, or can you only get on at specific areas? And also, does the conductor actually check everyone who boards to make sure they pay or can someone hop on and not have to pay? How does that all work? Any details that you can give would be appreciated. Thank you!

I'm moving there soon, hopefully with a friend or two. Where would be the least expensive place to live? Trying to start a band, but I don't want to be homeless.

I just moved to Austin. I'm not that into music. I go to Nuno's to listen to live blues more than I'm interested in any rock or punk. And I don't think Austin has enough - or any - good country venues besides Broken Spoke. But hey, that's just me. I'm old school and I like my dives smelly and empty.

Here's my question: Say I want to go over to 6th during the week to grab a beer at Chuggin Monkey or Maggie's. Will it be a big deal to do that? Crowded, with a cover?
I don't have a wristband or whatever, if I feel like going there, can I get in to see a band for a normal cover charge (less than $10) or will I get screwed like a conference tourist?

I don't get SXSW. I know it's cause I haven't been. But walking up and down 6th, what will that teach me? I think it's gonna screw up my St. Patty's day plans, will it?

Thanks. And if you're here in Austin, uh I guess welcome!

I really like Newport Beach, but I'm curious what you all think. The most important factors are cost, and commute time to L.A. or West Hollywood areas.

I am considering a move to the Los Angeles area, and Newport Beach seems to appeal to my taste, I just worry about the commute time in to downtown L.A., or West Hollywood everyday, and if it would be feasible. I'm not all that familiar with the lay of the land, so if anyone has any response or suggestions.

Besides going out to dinner and a movie, what is a fun date idea in the Phoenix/Tempe/Chandler/Mesa area??

We have done Golf Land, Phoenix Zoo, and Jesters, to name a few.

If you know something that is FUN and not expensive to do around here I would love to hear your ideas or experiences.

Thanks.

My friends and I have made reservations to camp at the Upper Pines this weekend, and we're first-timers so I was wondering if anyone could tell me what kind of equipment I need to bring, if the groceries at Curry Village are tolerable (price wise), any must-sees, are they strict with the policy about quiet hours being from 10pm-6am? And any additional details would be nice, thanks.

we are going to visit my boyfriends grandpa who lives near fort worth. (we are coming from kentucky) last summer we drove down to the beach from there and it was just too far to do so much driving. he wants to see the desert, but i think we would probably have to drive about 10 hours west to see anything like he is looking for. So are there any areas (scenic) that would be interesting to visit that wont take us very long to get to? To give you an idea of what he is hoping for... he wants to see sights like what you might see at the grand canyon, or arizona mountains... that red, rocky desert area. Is there anything close to fort worth that looks like that?
