Like any major city, Atlanta has lots of pros and cons, however, most people who live here would agree that the pros far out way the cons! Atlanta is a bustling city with easy access to tons of things to see and do. The cultural diversity is amazing.....there is something here for everyone no matter what their preference. The people in Atlanta are extremely friendly and eager to show their southern hospitality, which is not just a phrase but an actual way of life around here!! The job market is expansive and offers quite a variety of options with ease of access due to the MARTA transit system. Housing is quite inexpensive compared to other major cities and available housing in abundant. You have some wonderful mountains a short drive north of the city and the coast is only a few hours east. The weather in Atlanta can be rather unpredictable during the winters with temperatures ranging from bone-chilling teens to 70's and above on Christmas day! The summers are hot and humid, which appeals to some but makes others miserable. Traffic is not pleasant, but depending on where you live, can be avoided by becoming more familiar with your surroundings. Overall, Atlanta is a beautiful place to live!

I've been here about three months now and am NOT impressed. It could be the area I am in. There are a lot of fun things to do, which any big city has, such as the art museum, natural history museum (not impressed with), Atlanta underground, the aquarium (good, but too crowded). I've lived in New York as well and Atlanta comes no where near to being as great as New York. I have found that most of the people here are not friendly, and they try to run you over on the road. I here it doesn't take much to get a driver's license here so that is probably why everyone is horrible drivers!

Atlanta is a city that is constantly on the move. It is very vibrant and has a lot to offer for visitors and residents. Some that Atlanta has to offer includes the Georgia Aquarium, CNN, the World of Coca-Cola, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and the Atlanta Braves baseball. Outside Atlanta, visitors and residents can see Stone Mountain Park, Civil War museums, visit historic landmarks, gardens, and eat a great restaurants. To learn more about Atlanta, I suggest you go to the Atlanta Convention and Visiting Bureau website at http://www.atlanta.net.

Atlanta is a great southern city. Most people are polite & willing to help.
History is very big there. Underground Atlanta is actually part of the old city that the new city was built on top of.
