I'm taking my family to Disney this summer. We have 2 children, 9 & 5 years old. We are spending 6nights, 7days and going to the Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, MGM, & Sea World. How many days should I allot in the Magic Kingdom with 2 kids? I want to have enough time to see all this & actually enjoy it, not rush through it. Thanks!

2 days for MK - go in the murning one day and stay late for firewurks the next day. Find rides your kids like one day and
1 day for AK - maybe two. my kidds likked it a lot. Take the killamanjaro safari ride and see the affectshun section. great petting zoo.
(you could skip MGM. there isnt a TON there for a 5 year old kids).
1 day for seaworld. my kids really likked the penguin encountrer and they have a GREAT play area.
Universul and Islunds of Adventure are great parks, but your 5 year old may be young to enjoy most of it. A lot of monie when the little one canut ride much.
1 would encourage you to take a day or two and relax at your hotel too. it will probubly have a pool. see a movie. play minashure golf.
Maybe drive east one hour on the beeline and go to the beach (even if you just play in the sand).
Go to the McDonalds on Sand Lake Road near International Drive with the Worlds Largest Playplace. No admission and your kids will wear themselves out there.
i HAVE BEEN TO ORLANDO MANY TIMES WITH MY KIDS WHO ARE NOW 10 and 8. I ALSO USED TO LIVE THERE.
GOING TO A THEME PARK EVERY DAY ON YOUR TRIP WILL WEAR EVERYONE IN YOUR FAMILY OUT.

Your 9 years old kid will enjoy this visit a lot. The youngest may get tired easily. Disney is an avalanche of attractions, and even old guys like me find a point of saturation. I think Magic Kingdom will demand at least 2 days to see everything. In summers Disney parks are overcrowded, so be sure to use the easy passes, tickets that allow you to avoid long lines. You may save a lot if you get a room with a microwave and buy food in the supermarkets. Maybe you can afford a hotel inside the Disney area. Some of them are slightly more expensive than the regular ones, and transportation is easy and free (not to Sea World, though). Do not loose SpectraMagic (MGM), the Light Parade, the 3-D show It's Tough to be a Bug (Animal Kingdom). Maybe you can divide the extra Magic Kingdom day to see EPCOT, where some attractions would be perfect for the kids, like the Energy Pavillion, Journey into Imagination, Darling I Shrunk the Audience (3-D), the Mexico and Norway pavillions. Have a nice stay!

Personally I would say 2 days with the younger kids. Also I would take them to Animal kingdom, there is so many neat things there for kids to see. LIVE animals. great rides/shows!!! MGM well there really isn't much there for kids, a couple things but the few rides that are there they might not be able to get on/handle, I would still go but may I suggest getting Park Hoppers! Then you could spend half a day at MGM and Half a day at Animal kingdom. Animal Kindgom is only open till 5 because of the Animals so you could do MGM after 5! Also I would spend at least half a day at EPCOT. There are kids activitys at all the coutnrys and some great rides for them to go on! A lot of people have suggested Universal, but I wouldn't take them there, I would stick to DISNEY! Sea world is fun, but there is only so much to do there probably half a day's worth. So if you have a Park hopper for DISNEY you could finish your day with DIsney! Also Try to go to Magic Kingdom when they have extra Magic hours so you can have some extra time in there to do things when the park isn't as packed! Have fun! Just a suggestion, but forget MGM and do Universal instead. Way more fun!
2 days for Magic Kingdom. 1 day each for the other 3.

2 days for Magic Kingdom minimum. You still will have things yet to see. I agree with others, with kids your age forget MGM. I can't comment on Universal, we haven't gone there because the rides are a bit much for my kids to handle. Sea World is fun, more laid back. It will be hot in the summer, take breaks from the parks during the hottest part of the day

I would recommend two days to fully enjoy everything that Magic Kingdom has to offer. As a Disney Cast Member, Magic Kingdom is my favorite park and its the park I most highly recommend for families with children! And dont forget the amazing Wishes firework show in the evenings. I hope you have a magical time!

I recommend you skip MGM as well. It only has about 3 attractions and shows which are geared for kids. Everything else is really for adults and the park can be seen in less than a day. I recommend you spend one day at Animal Kingdom, and 2 days at the Magic Kingdom. If you like, you can spend 1 more day at EPCOT, which is a great park and has a lot more things for kids these days including the seas with nemo and friends, talking turtle crush, princess breakfast in Norway, chip n' dale character lunch at the land pavilion, soarin' attraction, all the different countries, illuminations, and much more! Then plan on 1 day at Sea World.

I would plan at least 2-3 days for the Magic Kingdom. I have taken my kids to Disney a few times, and at all different ages. It just seems we end up back at the Magic Kingdom, no matter what age they are.
My suggestions first of all would be to stay on the grounds if you have not already made reservations. By staying at one of the Disney resorts, you can take advantage of the perks that are offered to resort guests only, like Extra Magic Hours. One park is open early and one late for resort guests only, every day of the week. Also, there is the transportation, which makes things SO much easier. They also have no restrictions on resort guests entering the park. However if the park is crowded, they may restrict non-resort guests. I actually witnessed this our last trip, and the line to get into the Magic Kingdom was huge. We walked right in.
I also would get the Park Hopper option on your tickets. That way you can shift gears and bounce between parks on any particular day, instead of being stuck with one park. You basically can come and go as you please. We like to go to two different parks in a day. Usually we hit a new park in the morning, then go back to one of the other parks to hit our favorite rides in the evening and catch the night parade and fireworks.
With the parks you listed, I would do one to one and a half days at MGM, one to one and a half Days at Animal Kingdom, 1/2 to 3/4 of a day for Sea World, and throw Epcot in there for a day. People who take the kids automatically assume that the kids wont like Epcot, but there are tons of things there they would love. As for the rest I would spend it at the Magic Kingdom. To be honest, I would avoid Universal, unless you want nothing but thrill rides. If I wanted to go on thrill rides, I can go the Six Flags at home and save my money. No matter what you decide, be flexible with your plans.
I would also recommend going to the Disneyworld web site and looking at the rides and attractions. You can make a list of favorites and even have custom maps made of those favorites and sent to your house for free. Also, pick up the Birnbaum's guide to WDW. There are a ton of books out there, but that one works best for us. There is also a Kids version, for kids by kids. Let your kids look and decide what are must see rides and attractions for them.

I would highly recommend seeking out the "Extra Magic Hours" for your time at the Magic Kingdom. During our last visit, we chose to go to the Magic Kingdom for the early opening, and we were able to breeze right through the rides - aobut 14 in 2 hours. In fact, we were ready to leave the park when it was just opening for regular guests. In my experience, it is best to break up the day if you can - with the Park Hopper passes, you can do one park early in the day and another park in the evening - with a break for lunch/swimming/naps, etc. in the middle. This has helped us prevent stimulation overload, and has made for a much more enjoyable experience for all of us. It will also help you avoid the concrete jungles during the hottest part of the day. I would say 2 days for Disney, 1 for Sea World, 1 for Epcot, 1 for Animal Kingdom.
Don't know about MGM, haven't seen it... If you can afford it, Universal Studios is good. Also, there is Wonderworks, and a great Titantic Exhibit at the Mercado. There is also a water park.
