What's living in Chicago like?

2006-12-28 12:02:36 · 9 answers · asked by Anonymous in Chicago

My husband has had to drive through Denver on I-70 going West to get to a new job and he is stuck in the snow storm right now. He is on the West side of Denver heading towards Vail. He is headed to North Eastern Utah. If he doesnt make it by tomorrow morning he probably wont get the job that they are holding for him! Im so worried about him and the job. Do you think he will make it? Does anyone know at what point he will be safe, out of the storm and back into decent weather? Im just very worried about him. We dont live anywhere near where it snows, so I dont know much about it.

My family and I are travelling by train to Florida from Boston. We have a 3 hour layover at Penn Station NYC and we want to make the most of the time. The children are aged 9 and 3. We would be there between noon and 3pm. What could we do outside of the station that is close by so that we could get back in time to catch our train. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

which one would you move to?

We're thinking of moving to either Colorado or Idaho. One thing we like about Idaho (what we've read) is that the Boise area has better (warmer) weather than the Fort Collins, CO area. But Boise is just too big for us. We're looking for a town of less than 100,000 people. But we don't want to feel like we're in the middle of no where. We'd like the warmer weather of southern Idaho and I'd prefer a town with a community college or university or a town within 40 minutes of one.
Thanks

I understand if a juvenile has community service hours, that if they tour the facilities it is worth 10 community hours. Is this true?

Vegas is a decent size city, there has to be a some kind of a club for someone who is 20! Even if it is a half hour away im going to be there for a few days. So all you people who live there, this one is for you, i keep hearing there are no clubs but there has to be one!!! and if not someone should open one, they would make alot of money, us youngins like to dance too! ;-)

It's southwest of Vail. The story about it is the government closed it about 20 years ago because of lead poisoning in the water lines or something...not real sure. It's near Nova Guides, Inc...a snowmobile tour company. They told/showed us this town on the tour when we went last winter, but I don't remember the name of the town.
