During the afternoon/early evening on New Years Eve we're thinking of seeing a movie and maybe going shopping downtown (or if it's too bad, Bellevue Square instead). Do you think it'll be pretty crowded? As bad as it was the week before Christmas? I know at night it will be with New Years at the Needle....but I'm thinking between 2pm and 7pm-ish. We're kinda worried about traffic and parking, but we did the same thing 5 days before Christmas - but that was a Wednesday and New Years is a Sunday.... anyone??

I made reservations at stratosphere through vegas.com. If I want to cancel the reservations, do I have to do it through "vegas.com" or do I have to do it through stratosphere??? Which one should I call to cancel??

Hope to spend a week sightseeing in New York and arranging hotels and flights ( to JFK ) via the internet. My question is, do I need to be worried about being ripped off in cab fares from JFK to NYC? I have a job interview offered on Tuesday next week [January 2], in Shoreline. Moving to Seattle/areas has been a goal of mine for the last 1 1/2year now [side move to Japan for a while, then moved back from Japan to L.A., saving up money for the Seattle move presently]. Should I accept the job interview, and go, or should I politely decline and begin my search at a better weather time of year? I'm not really worried about the cold, rain, snow, etc., it's the ice on the roads and the possibility of airport closure.
