We have nine days total, and we can afford a "moderately nice" vacation. We live in Indiana, so we want to be somewhere warm. Any suggestions?

Okay, well I once lived in Indiana, Kokomo and Indy...so I can understand wanting warmer weather. It depends on what you like. If you want a private place to stay there are awesome cabins in the mountains near water in Northern Georgia that are wonderfully affordable. Also in Florida on the coast you can find private, very affordable and nice, villas for you and your family or whomever you are taking. Also Tybee Island in Georgia is fairly affordable if you look in the right places and nice. Not too far to drive either or fly. So you have the beach or woods with this answer. And believe me, I mean affordable. I'm cheap and thrifty so....

If you are talking out of the United States many places in Mexico are pretty affordable. I've included some links to some nice and not so pricey places.

I've left a couple of links if interested in cabins or Tybee Island in Georgia.

Try Charleston, South Carolina and Savannah, Georgia. April's a perfect time to go there. We lived in SC for a while and my wife just couldn't get enough of Charleston. It's beautiful and has rich cultural and historic sites. We have not been to Savannah, but I have heard it is the same way.

hey, i live in Noblesville, IN we love to take trips to the Smoky Mountains, TN.
By April and dogwoods are in bloom and the wild flowers are starting to bloom, and the frogs fill the air with their songs. It is a fun place to go race tracks and shopping in Pigeon Forge, and if you want to escape to nature, they have aw some trails in around Gattlinburg, not to mention all the shows and fine places to eat. You can go with a lot of money or a little money and have a great time.

there are some great resourts in arizona and palm springs if you like golf or massages. There is a great place I went on my anniversary in La Jolla (northern san diego), CA called the Estancia. It's kid friendly too, they have "dive-in movies poolside. a week in vegas is too much.
