During the afternoon/early evening on New Years Eve we're thinking of seeing a movie and maybe going shopping downtown (or if it's too bad, Bellevue Square instead). Do you think it'll be pretty crowded? As bad as it was the week before Christmas? I know at night it will be with New Years at the Needle....but I'm thinking between 2pm and 7pm-ish. We're kinda worried about traffic and parking, but we did the same thing 5 days before Christmas - but that was a Wednesday and New Years is a Sunday.... anyone??

Most people will be getting ready for New Years Eve parties, so the shopping centers shouldn't be too bad.

I would expect moderate traffic at that time.

This year has been strange though, even the day after Christmas was a lot slower than normal at most of the malls.

Yes, people shop at the last minute and look for sales.
