East Coast
It has so many more beautiful sites to see. There is more snow obviously than the West Coast, but it's not as bad as alot of people describe it. The New England states are probably the prettiest states in the U.S. Less crime than other places too. The traffic is far worse on the West Coast so I've heard. I live in New England, so I might be a little bias.. lol

East Coast, NYC or maybe Boston. I love New Yorkers, they totally accept without question the fact that New Yorkers can be from anywhere, and speak any language, and have any culture. There is none of that awful small-town know-nothingism that you get in the West, with the English-only junk and soooo much parochialism. I love the history on the East Coast, I love the architecture, the Hudson Valley is as spectacularly beautiful as anything in California. Still, I gotta admit that on the West Coast, Seattle seems pretty cool, and I do like San Francisco, I liked San Diego when I visited it, and would like to visit L.A. and yes, the Pacific coast is incredibly beautiful. But I would rather live in New York, no question.

I've lived on both coasts and I love them for completely different reasons. The ocean on the West and the beauty on the East.

west coast because it's more diversed and i love the weather
but east coast is fun for vacations (i loved new york)

well, comparing the east coast to the west coast, i would not prefer to live in the cold,and not liking to live in Nyc, i would prefer to live in nyc as opposed to san dieago ca. (that is the extent of what i know about either coast) why, the traffic, although the weather in san dieago is much more pleasant than nyc, i would prefer to live in nyc, the traffic layout is different,but those are my personal reasons,liking neither nyc or san dieago, i prefer inland southern ca or southern az, or southern texas
