Pride...not like the bad kind but just proud of who you are, your state, etc...of course I think about cowboys etc. as well but while working on a project for work last year I had to talk to several Texans and not only were the incredibly helpful, it was the pride in who they were that came across. I think that changed some of my stereotypes.

I think of vast, dry, hot land...like in old cowboy movies. I've never been to Texas, other than catching a connecting flight in Dallas/Fort Worth one time. I can't wait to visit someday. I imagine the Gulf Coast being very beautiful, but I imagine the rest of the state being very barren...not sure if that's the reality or just what I have in my head from old movies.
In terms of the people, I imagine Texans being a mix of nice, cordial country folks and "get the hell off my land" mean people. I imagine there is a lot of Hispanic influence too.

They can secede from the Union anytime, brilliant leaving that in the state constitution!!! That is at least one thing I know I like about Texas. The Alamo comes to mind too.

You are talking stereotypes... So I will let it rip. None of my own personal ideas.
Texans are cowboys with big hats and accents. They LOVE their state, think it is one of the best out there so they are cauky and conceded. Many are very racist, especially since there is so much Mexican migration and they do not like it, so that is why the ranchers are out there with their shotguns. Very conservative...

we don't think of we are extra helpful, we predict of our state is. Texans merely love Texas, and are drawn to it is history, and we get exhilaration from its way of existence and delicacies. We take satisfaction interior the concept it relatively is geographically distinctive, so we are able to bypass to coastline, mountains, wooded area, rolling hills, or extreme plains with out ever leaving the state. we don't ideas in case you like the place you're from merely as plenty, it is not a contest. We merely relatively relatively like our state, so we tend to brag approximately it to the element that others locate stressful. style of like a be sure that talks approximately their toddlers too plenty.

I like San Antonio. One of the nicest cities with an excellent river walk. The rest of the state is another matter. I have traveled across the length of it an have found no other redeeming qualities.

I think of heat, heat, and more heat!!! And then I think of the largeness of the state. And then, hate to tell 'ya, but I think about how much it would stink to live there. Mostly because my dad left my family for a year to go work in Dallas. And he hated it.
