I am going to the islands in a few weeks, i wanted to see if anyone knew if i could take my fishing rods without any problems. I bought a case from BassProShops that holds 8 robs. It is a soft zippered case that's about 7 feet long. My main concern is size, damage and oversize charges... i have seen people bring surf boards and skis which is about the same size, just wanted to see if anyone knew. thanks

I may have a chance to go to San Diego for a conference at the end of March and I'm wondering if I can get away without a rental car (the hotel has free shuttle service to and from the airport). The one thing I really want to see while I'm there is Cabrillo National Monument and I'm wondering if I could bike there from the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina on Harbor Drive. I've been checking out the transit service too.

I'm planning to go to Los Angeles for a few days. I have never been there. I'm not going to rent a car, and my budget is too low for taking cabs. Can you tell me what local transportation can I take to go to the most visited area for tourist, such as Rodeo Dr. Universal Studios, Hollywood etc.

I live in New York and I used to take subway and sometimes the bus to visit place around the city.

Can you give me a website where I can see a bus or subway Map & Schedule for LA.

I am moving to New York from Houston and I have been all over the internet insinde of apartments for rent and lease and I have found many that I'm interested in. I'm wondering though, is it really true that the cheapest there are is about $1200/mth. So if that's the case, is salary higher there than in Houston? I know I have to look for a job there before I move and I've been doing that as well, but I'm just wanting to know if anyone from New York City can help me.
