Travel - 13 November 2007

I'm new in this section, but in general on this site I've read many posts that challenge the importance of Jerusalem to Jews.

I'd like to ask Muslims something, though; these are genuine questions and not designed to cause offence.

I realise that Jerusalem is important to Muslims, but how can you make such a claim on it when, in all fairness, it is not your most important city, but your third, coming after Mecca and Medinah?

Also, if it's so vital to your culture, why is Jerusalem not mentioned, even once, in the Quran?

And why do you pray facing Mecca, not Jerusalem, if the latter is so precious to you?

I am really curious about all this and would love to get your help. Many thanks for taking the time to read and respond.

I love Las Vegas and I want to represent it in my home. I want some things to put up on the walls as well as knick knacks to place on my bookshelves and entertainment center.
Everything I have seen online is cheesy and more for a Vegas party than decorations for my home everyday.

Alrighty, Im going to New York next week and Im im getting confused with all teh boroughs and neighbourhoods around the main city Centre ie. Mid-town, upper east side etc. So, what are the names of all the boroughs that would be cheaper to stay in around manhattan that will only take about 20 minutes to get to the city centre. And what about all teh islands or surrounding cities that wont be a trek to get to manhattan. We'll be doign all the typical tourist attractions so we need to be able to get to the the main part of manhattan.

I just do not see how it can work, the settlements aside; I simply think that there is a fundamental lack of trust and will power on both sides that would make it impossible.

Maybe we should start looking at other alternatives?

I mean think about it.....
they make terrorist attack
they send rockets
they have people who commit suicide
and our respond is - give away Gaza

so what is the message

let's make more terrorist attack and lets get more

now they are talking about part of jerusalem.

I mean the Gaza issue just made it worse, they still sending rockets and they are closer....
do you understand what i'm trying to say?

they kidnap our soldier so that we would give them 10000 terrorists that tommorow will make another kidnap or bombing

it's a cycle that you can't do anything...
