I get what you're saying.
The trouble is, Israel is always damned if she does, damned if she doesn't. If Israel responds humanely, then even more is demanded, i.e. Jerusalem.
If Israel responds with tough measures, the world shrieks in condemnation.
The aspect that makes me really angry is that other countries have responded to violence in the exact same way as Israel, yet everyone accepted they were just defending themselves. But heaven forfend the Jewish state lifts a finger to protect its' people.
It's such a double standard.

You shouldn't expect sixty years of suffering to be erased in the minds of the Palestinians just because Israel withdrew from Gaza. It's going to take a long time. Think about it. Jews are still talking about pogroms and deportations that happened to them hundreds and even thousands of years ago because the wounds are still there. The same goes for the Palestinians.
They will continue to be bitter and angry, and in some cases revengeful, for many years to come. It is to be expected. That doesn't mean Israel was wrong to give back Gaza, but it is not a magic solution that makes everything ok. Being more repressive and violent only deepens and prolongs the agony on both sides.
Israel can do something. It can try to help the individual Palestinians live a decent life by not engaging in collective punishment. It can make a genuine effort toward raising the standard of living of the Palestinians in the Occupied Territories. At worst, it will do nothing, but at best it will slow the tide of recruits to extremist groups and help give the Israeli people more security.

Depending the ongoing situation, we can negotiate the West Bank and Gaza Strip, but NOT Jerusalem. It's the eternal capital of the State of Israel. The government of Israel has granted a Muslim Council, Waqf, full administration of Muslim sites in the Old City. I think the Israeli government is already quite generous.

the acceptable discovering ecosystem for a new child is whilst mother and father artwork with the colleges to strengthen the academic journey. i think of we ought to constantly examine to our infants whilst they're small, which facilitates with language progression and interest in analyzing. mom can bypass over spelling words with the new child at the same time as she is fixing supper. even nonetheless, this ought to be carried out in a comfortable ecosystem devoid of putting greater rigidity on the new child. If my new child develop into so undesirable at spelling and analyzing, i might first have the new child evaluated for ingenious and prescient or listening to problems or dyslexia. not each thing desires to have a particular "blame". the acceptable element to do is undertaking to "restoration" it for that new child and not waste time attempting to assign blame. you be attentive to, grandmas can help, too, and if the subject is severe sufficient you should hire a coach. even nonetheless, many faculties have particular analyzing classes for babies who've fallen in the back of. each new child is different and a few "get it" much less annoying than others.

You are saying that terrorism pays, and unfortunately this is true. The West has rewarded terrorism in the form of fawning over the Palestinians and working hard for their "rights" to a state, however little they have done to deserve it.
The ultimate outcome has been the expanded use of terrorism, including 9/11. Other organizations have evaluated the method as successful against the West and "improved" on it.
Why doesn't anyone care about a state for the Kurds? --Because Kurdish terrorists have restricted their activities to Turkey, and Europeans don't care if a few Turks die. If the Kurds started bombing European capitals there would be horror and disgust, but you'd also see a lot of apologists telling us how desperate and unfortunate they are, with increasing publicity for the "Kurdish question" and "Kurdish rights." If we're lucky, maybe we'll get to see an actress-activist dancing with masked, Kalashnikov-wielding PKK "militants." (Anyone remember Vanessa Redgrave?)
(The Kurds may very well deserve their own state--certainly more than the Palestinians need another one-- but they do *not* deserve to be rewarded for terrorism, and neither should the Palestinians.)
The West must be united about fighting terrorism, and not making excuses for the Palestinians. It is terrorism whether it occurs in Madrid or Jerusalem, Beslan or Tel Aviv, New York or Haifa.

Terrorism only became an effective tool of political change in the 20th century. That is because it began to be viewed as a self-justifiable act -- i.e. if someone commits a terrorist act, they must have a good enough reason to do so. The far left in the 20th century developed a notion that the party presumed to be weaker and poorer is always right (or if not "right", per se, then at least justified in its actions). This would explain their love and veneration of violent sociopaths in general -- because sociopaths are seen as agents of a rebellion against the Establishment. People from Noam Chomsky's camp love the Middle Eastern terrorist for the same reason they love any garden-variety neighborhood murderer-rapist.

diana,
I wonder why you care a lot about Jerusalem. I understand that it has a great value to the Jewish people as it represents a holy spot for them, but for you as an atheist who doesn't pray and has no religious ties, I wonder why you care a lot about losing the eastern part of Jerusalem. This part belonged to the Arabs and it was occupied in 1967 and now it is the time to be returned to its owners.
I agree with you that giving Gaza back to the Palestinians caused a lot of trouble and more violence but remember that they Palestinians are still under the Israeli control and don't get most of their rights as humans. Once the Palestinians have their own state and their own control, violence should decrease, if it doesn't I will then call for another Israeli occupation..
Peace
diana:
it was chosen the capital to your country but it is illigal because a part of it is stolen which is the eastern part. This is the reason why you have to share. The eastern part is occupied and has to be returned to its owners. enough said.

Ok look at it this way the Israels occupied gaza for how long?
A generation or two?
The Palestinians where born, grew up and grew old under occupation they lived with the injustices of military rule and occupation all the while they lived in poverty.
When the strangle hold of the occupier is gone and they are left with alittle piece of ghetto they think to themselves its pay back time!!!
All the frustration from the times of occupation are being let out now that there is no more occupation, Egypt is picking up the bill on this one.
To get rid of Terrorism you have to get rid of the causes of it, Poverty, opression and the cycle continues aided by Hamas tv ofcourse.

That is the sad truth.
Often people rebel when their sovereign starts to give in to their demands.
Compromise is impossible, when there is not good will on BOTH sides.
It's like a spoiled child. Yes, it's your own fault!
