Bear with me because I am really trying to understand. Many will answer my questions (Thank you, you've helped me a lot) and include words that I can sometimes guess at the meanings for - but not know if it is correct. An example which I see/hear often is Insha'Allah. What exactly does this mean? Then there are words where I am totally clueless... What does it mean when a word is written with numbers in the middle of them. Where can I go to find the meanings?

I am 16 now and my aunt said that she will take me anywhere in the world once I am 17. Originally I was leaning towards New Zealand, Vietnam, India or Japan, but recently I have taken an interest in Eastern Europe. I would like to go during the winter, because I love the snow, but would that be sensible? I don't want to go on a vacation and not be able to do anything because of inclement weather.

Anyway, the cities/countries I've been considering are:
Zurich, Switzerland (I know, technically western Europe)
Vienna, Austria
Croatia
Budapest, Hungary
Prague, Czech Rebublic
Poland
Amsterdam, Netherlands (again, not eastern)
Sofia, Bulgaria

Would these locations be, well, safe for a 17 year old girl. I don't want to sound stereotypical, but I know that some of these nations have legal prostitution and can be violent at times. Also, would you consider someone of my age to enjoy a trip like this, or do you think it may be more suited for someone a bit older?

for years I have begged my husband to take us to the US. now that he finally says yes, I am finding that it is almost impossible to live in California on our budget, we can afford only $800 rent per month, and all apt in that range seem to be in high crime areas, so do I want to stay here and give my kids a college education with poor job prospects, or should we go to California, and risk my kids becoming involved with gangs and crime and not be able to send them to college.

I'm trying to plan a trip to NYC this summer with my mom. We're from a small town in the Midwest and we are two small women, so we are somewhat concerned about safety and getting around. If you have any suggestions on afordable places to stay I would love to hear them. We are also looking into seeing a broadway show and doing some shopping. Any input would be great! Thanks

I want to take a world cruise, but I don't want to be around a bunch of snobs nor have a restrictive dress code. Would Princess or Holland America fit this bill? Which line is better? Are there any other options?

I come from a small village in Ohio. I would like to keep it small, but perhaps outside of a city where possibilities are endless. My main concern is climate. I hate winter! aside from that, the average three bedroom apt. here is around four hundred monthly including utilities. I cant afford more than that. I would actually like to buy as I own my house now, and cant imagine paying rent. the wages also need to be good to afford the cost of living there. I have an offer to go to Lebanon TN. Thats what has my mind turning. I have two kids and a disabled mother to pick up and go with. To me that is scary. Any ideas on places and resources?
