When will the world see the arab countries help the palestinean people build up their infrastructure and industries?

Hiya there, I was hoping to draw on your personal experiences for things to do in the city that might not be mentioned on your normal travel guides?
I know about the main museums / galleries / red light district / anne frank house and those sorts of things but I love it when someone can tell you "we just happened to find this place....." or "I live there and I love to go....."
I'm going for 4 nights at the beginning of October with my boyfriend just as a wee break from work so we have no strict plans... just going to enjoy the city, stroll about, visit attractions and coffee shops. Any advice would be much appreciated.

My brother has been corresponding with an "old girlfriend" who he last knew to be in Illinois. She is apparently now stuck in a Nigerian hospital because she had gone there with her parents & their taxi was in an accident & both of her parents were killed. The hospital will not release her until her bill is paid. According to the embassy this is Nigerian procedure. If it is a scam, she seems to have some of his personal information & knows that he once dated this Sandra Rose David who she claims to be. He seems to be the only one she has been able to contact through the internet & he has spoken with her "doctors". I have heard of similar scams. Does anyone have further info?

I've heard that crime in general is pretty low in Iceland (I might be going to Reykjavik in January), but are the more touristy/populated parts prone to any pickpocketing, drunken behaviour etc? Being from Glasgow, nothing of that nature would particularly bother me but I'm just wondering what to expect? :)

I am not a resident of Southern California or Anaheim, and my boyfriend and I don't know anyone who is. My boyfriend, however, is in the military, so we can get the 10% military discount, but I know there has to be away we can get them cheaper. Where can we go once we get there, other than to purchase them at the hotel we're staying out. Does Vons have discount coupons, or discounted Disneyland tickets? Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm considering applying to the International University of Japan for my MBA. I'm from the U.S. and would like to live/work in Japan. I watched a documentary recently about Norway. They showed a few 'Merry Christmas' posters condemning materialistic approach to the holiday. They showed a woman whose hands were tied with a pearl necklace behind her back and a few more interesting designs. Does anyone know any links to those posters? Apparently, there's some government office whose main aim is to promote sensible spending habits among Norwegians. Thanks a lot!
