An American businessman, who was visiting the Philippines, was standing on the beach of a small country village about mid morning when a small “Pam” boat with just a father and 2 sons came in from fishing. Inside the nets of the small boat were several pounds of fresh fish.

The American complimented the Filipino on the quality of his fish and asked how long it took to catch them. The Filipino replied only a little while. The American then asked why he didn't stay out longer and catch more fish.

The Filipino said he had enough to support his family's immediate needs. The American then asked, but what do you do with the rest of your time?

The Filipino fisherman said, "I sleep late, fish a little, play with my children, take a nap, with my wife Maria we stroll into the village each evening where I sip Jazz (local cola) and play guitar with my friends and everyday we spend time with our Lord Jesus. I have a full and busy life, my friend.

TAGAYTAY GHOST STORY

This story happened a few months ago along the Tagaytay Road. There was a guy who got left behind by a pack of mountain bikers. The group was large and he didn't bring a cellphone. He crashed his bike somewhere between Picnic Grove and DBP. To make things worse, a storm came in. So he walked.

This guy was on the side of the road hitch hiking on a very dark night in the middle of a storm. The night passed slowly and no cars went by. The storm was so strong he could hardly see a few meters ahead of him.

Suddenly, just before the junction going to Manila, he saw a car slowly looming, ghostlike, out of the gloom. It slowly crept toward him and stopped. It was raining hard, wind blowing all around you, what would you do? Like you would, he got into the car and closed the door, then realized that there was nobody inside the car.... even in the drivers seat.

The car slowly started moving again. The guy was terrified, too scared to think of jumping out and running.

BBQ RULES
We are about to enter the BBQ season. Therefore it is important to refresh your memory on the etiquette of this sublime outdoor cooking activity .
When a man volunteers to do the BBQ the following chain of events are put into motion:

Routine...
(1) The woman buys the food.
(2) The woman makes the salad, prepares the vegetables, and makes dessert.
(3) The woman prepares the meat for cooking, places it on a tray along with the necessary cooking utensils and sauces,
and takes it to the man who is lounging beside the grill - beer in hand.

(4) The woman remains outside the compulsory three meter exclusion zone where the exuberance of testosterone and other manly bonding activities can take place without the interference of the woman.
Here comes the important part:
(5) THE MAN PLACES THE MEAT ON THE GRILL.

More routine...
(6) The woman goes inside to organize the plates and cutlery.
(7) The woman comes out to tell the man that the meat is looking great. He thanks her and asks if she will bring another beer
while he flips the meat .

Important again:
(8) THE MAN TAKES THE MEAT OFF THE GRILL AND HANDS IT TO THE WOMAN.
More routine...
(9) The woman prepares the plates, salad, bread, utensils, napkins, sauces, and brings them to the table.
(10) After eating, the woman clears the table and does the dishes.

And most important of all:
(11) Everyone PRAISES the MAN and THANKS HIM for his cooking efforts.
(12) The man asks the woman how she enjoyed "her night off." And, upon seeing her annoyed reaction, concludes that there's just no pleasing some women...

Between 41 and 50, a woman is like Great Britain, with a glorious and all conquering past.

What is it live? I have only drvien through it once. I hear its beutiful, but i also hear it is very un safe. How does it compare to Sydney in terms of crime and traffic?

I am considering leaving nelson for work there, but I don't want to move to there if it is like sydney. I left the westurn suburbs of sydney for nelson and have not looked back.

What are the rich and the not so good suburbs of christchurch.

I am planning to move to NYC at the beginning of January but I have a problem. I live on the West coast and bought a Mazda Miata 1 year ago, financed and i still owe about 11k on it. Now, I know that I can't take this car with me to NYC because of obvious reasons (not a winter car, too expensive to keep, not too safe to drive across country, etc)..now what can i do? Do i trade it in for something else and still make payments and find someplace with decent parking (Queens or Long Island maybe?).or do I trade it in, store it in Upstate NY where I'm from....any ideas???
