They must be worth more in metal value than in monetary value. For a while back in the beginning of the century, Pick´nPay used to round everything up or down to the nearest 5 cents. But, what is 5 cents worth today ?

The production of these coins have stopped but they are still in circulation and are accepted in shops , As Tsepo has said , the 5c is now the lowest that is made and most places do round off totals to the nearest 5c.
