My take on THE GEOGRAPHY OF MAN:
Between 17 and 25, he is like Thailand, exciting but never conquered by anyone.
Between 26 and 35, he is like the Philippines. Once conquered, but still attractive to the adventurous. He is unsure of what the future holds for him.
Between 36 and 40, he is like Taiwan. Somehow settled, independent, and fighting off being annexed to his roots.
Between 41 and 50, he is like Macau. A high stakes roller, enjoying sights and sounds, the good life. Some of these pleasures others find immoral.
Between 51 and 65, he is like Las Vegas. Macau on a grander scale. Women come to him like he is a slot machine ready to spew out the jackpot.
Between 66 and 100, he is also like Tibet. Wise to the world, unaffected by what happens in Macau and Las Vegas.

It is also probably why I'm heading for Tibet. I'm not stopping there.
I'm looking for a place nearby. Conrad Hilton's Lost Horizon, or the
one they call Shang-ri-la, where girls look like Olivia Hussey as a teenager, but is hundreds of years finer than Tibet.
