I've always wanted to see Mackinaw Island ever since watching "Somewhere in Time" - is it really a good place to visit? What is the best place to stay?

Can you get in to a nightclub with an expired passport? The photo is pretty old but its all I have. I also have a license document with my proof of age but no picture. Would I be able to get in do you think without my license card?
