I used Orbitz for the first time the other day, and they charged me for a ticket and didn't even place the reservation with the airline!! Forget about decent customer service, it's outsourced to India.

Its not just Orbitz! All of these so called discount houses just screw you if you have to make any changes. Even for a death in the family or serious bodily injury. I was hurt in Thailand in a motor bike accident and wanted to come back early. My full price on the ticket was $920 and for any change at all they wanted $250. That was travelocity. Never use these people. They do not have your best interest at heart. Rip offs!!!!!

Orbitiz is the worst! And yes they outsource to the middle east. I use Qfares.com most of the time and I can tell you - the no frills - no nonsense service has me hooked. I will not use Orbitz or Expedia - Priceline is out of the questioN!

I don't use them. I find it easier to book directly with the airline and doing that allows me to avoid the extra charge travel websites charge.

I know they suck... and their tickets are not cheap... that's false advertisement
