Where in Peru? You can go to the website below, click on "trip planner" at the top of the page, enter a main city name and the country, then the dates, and it will give you the usual trends and specific weather information for that area.

Unlike the north hemisphere, in the South Hemisphere, early october is the end of the winter. It's been really cold lately, however it's gonna change around september 25. If your going to the capital (lima) the temperature doesn't go under 12°C most of the time, however it's really humid so you'll feel the weather is colder than how it actually is. Also there's no snow in Lima

However, if you're going to the mountains (Los Andes) the weather is less humid but colder.

Of course, if you're going to the jungle, it's almost always raining there, but I'm not sure about the weather.

I'd suggest you to take a good coat, but unless you're going to the mountains, it's not so cold here in Peru so you won't need to protect yourself so much as in Europe/USA

I hope this helps ^_^

Opposite of the US. October will be the middle of their spring, the way October is the middle of the US fall.

Remember, however, that Peru is about the length from Florida to Alsaka, and will have just as wide a weather variation as from Flordia to Alaska. So you will need to see WHERE in Peru you will be. Nothern half of the country - nearing the equator - hot. Southern half nearing the pole - colder.

If heading into Lima, forget the rain gear. They have not had rain in over 200 years. If heading in the rain forest, pack a "slicker".

Depends entirely where you're going. Peru's an extremely long country, and in parts very high too - the Andes.
