Good choice for a place to move to in America! Tons of things to do with all the theme parks, beaches, malls, etc.
The people down there are usually very freindly because in the southern states, people take life at a slower pace.......by that I mean that they are more relaxed easy-going people.
Lots and lots of tourists there though.
I'm sure you'll have no problem making new friends. Plus there's always MySpace.com where you can all kinds of people living near you or going to the same schools.
If you need information about the city or state, you can always talk to the people at your local city hall or even tourist bereau.
Did I mention that Tampa and that small region of Florida never gets hit by hurricanes? So that's another nice thing about it.
Other cool cities in Florida: Miami, Clearwater/St. Petersburg, Orlando, Marco Island, Manatee County, Naples.
There's many others, but those are some good ones.
Hope this information helps you!
Good luck!

Oh Katie you will love it! I moved to America when i was 16 (now 19) and it is a big change but it's a great one! It's a totally different atmosphere and don't be afraid of the people because just like in Europe most are nice :) And i'm sure that you will love the malls ;)

I currently live in Pensacola (around 5hr drive from Tampa). Email me at mystery.face@hotmail.com in case you have any big questions :)
Trust me it will be glorious so don't be afraid! Atleast you already know the english language fluently haha

well public schools in america are very different from the schools in england. i attended school for a few years in the states and the quality of education at a public school is very poor. i advise you to go to a private school.

i noticed you were interested in joining a cheer squad and there are plenty in tampa. a very good gym is called brandon all-stars.

best of luck to you. message me if you need any help love.
