I don't live in NY, but I'd be surprised if October wasn't one of its most beautiful months.

The Bahamas (I would guess would be around 80 degrees F, 28C), LA (which should have a temperature range of 74F-59F, or 24-15C) and Las Vegas (81F-57F, or 28-14C)should all be fine in October, but New York will be a bit cooler (between 64 and 50 F, or 18-10C). I know that is you go later in October the rainfall in New York might be higher, so I would pack some rain gear and sweaters. Depending on whether you go early in October or later in the month, the days may be cooler or warmer, with cooler days later in the month. In New York, plan to dress in layers as mornings start out cold but can become quiet warm around midday, that way you can always take of a layer without getting changed. Hope this helps, have a great honeymoon and best of luck with your marriage.

I live here and it's the most beautiful month to visit New York. During the day it's usually in the mid 60's and at night in the mid 40s. I'd suggest bringing a light jacket and/or a light sweater--weather can change quickly and it's not uncommon for it to heat up in the city, even in October.

Right now its 70's supposed to get 80's this weekend the lows have been in the 50's.
I would think by Oct, it would be highs 60's lows 40's Its been weird last few years. Having warmer temps and longer summers. Its dress warm weather. Nothing as far as a winter coat.

I work here in the city and I know sometimes the weather can be schizophrenic. Two Halloween's ago it was freezing. Last Halloween it was warm. So I suggest you bring a nice thick shirt and a heavy sweater just in case. Thick shirt for the warmer weather. Heavy Sweater for the chilly.
