Go to www.jetblue.com to read their newly released passengers "Bill of Rights". Here are some of the guarantees: (And - no, I'm not making this stuff up!)
1. If your flight is cancelled they promise to either refund your ticket price or book you on another plane. (Hmmm... as opposed to a kick in the groin?)
2. If you are trapped in a grounded plane for over 5 hours they will make sure you have access to a bathroom and medical care, if required. (Yes, very comforting.)
3. You could get a $25 to $50 JetBlue travel voucher if your flight is delayed 1-4 hours, but ONLY IF the delay is caused by a "controllable irregularity". (This is like a restaurant saying, if you hate our food and get food poisoning, we'll give you a coupon to come back for more!)
Read it for yourself and then say whether this is just a desperate and lame PR stunt, or whether something in this Bill of Rights will impel JetBlue to do better.
