For family camping, we like Greenfield State Park in Greenfield, NH alot because it's in a great area with things to do nearby for the whole family, they have an nice little beach and lake to swim/fish in, it's always kept clean and the sites aren't packed too close to one another.
For more hardcore camping we always go to the White Mountains and hike in... Franconia Notch is a great place as well as Sandwich Notch.... perfect places to escape society without having to drive all day to get there.

We always go to Powder Horn Campground in Old Orchard, Maine. Its a great place for familes which is important bc we have 2 kids. There are 3 pools, a few playgrounds, and always fun things going on for the kids like games and arts & crafts etc. Also its about 1/2 mile from the beach, and there is a trolley that will take you to the beach that comes every hour. Its also close to a grocery store, lots of restaurants, a mini-golf place, an amusement park and a water park, and if you like to go out at night, there are a few bars and clubs nearby too. We have been going as a family every year since I was pregnant with our first son, so about 9 years now.

Anything in the White Mountains of NH is fabulous. I have stayed at s many different places, literally since I was a baby. Always had a great time.!
