It all depends how long you want to stay. 500 bucks can go a long way here. I'd suggest any one of many resorts in Los Baños, Laguna around 50 miles south of Manila. Almost all the resorts there are hot spring resorts with warm water swimming pools.

with a budget of $500 dollars you can already go to a lot of places that is 24,000 pesos, thats a lot of money, you can spend it for atleast 1 week in a resort if you are really good at budgeting
what kind of resort do you like?
try to search resorts near manila, cavite, tagaytay, in the luzon area, san fernando la union has a lot of beaches,and its cheaper there, although of course you have to think of transportation, when you are in manila you have to rent a van that would cost atleast 6 thousand back and forth
it can give you a decent hotel room and a fantastic view of the beach, although you should atleast be 3 persons only

theres a lot of beautiful resorts in the philippines and us$500 is big enough for 1 person, the best place are boracay, puerto galera, palawan, and if your in to diving snorkling better try bohol... dont worry about the budget its not too expensive to try those places US $500 is Php P 25,000.00 more or less

You can spend one night in Aman Pulo during the off-season for that. You can spend 3 days in Club Paradise. You could also spend 10 days in the blue-rock in Subic (w/o food), or almost 2 weeks in Puerto Galera at a number of places. This is of course for 1 person, halve the duration for 2.

boracay baby..$500 is a lot of money for one person you can get a very nice and decent place with that..try shangrilla or plantation bay in cebu city..

$500.00 doesn't go very far in general with travel. Also you aren't being very clear on what you are asking? $500.00 for 1 night or for 10 nights? I mean, what is it you are asking? Plus pricing varies depending on availability, specials, season, etc.
I'm sorry, but this question is just to vague.
