Wifey and I are going to San Diego next month on a trip. We've gone over the border at Brownsville TX and also into Progresso. We're thinking about walking over the border into Tijuana. My neighbor said it's pretty dangerous these days. I know the best answer is use common sense and stay around the rest of the american tourists, but is it really that bad? Also, besides sea world and the zoo, what else is fun to do in San Diego in March?

For years I have tried to find out who the 'Purvis' of Purvis Street and Purvis Wharf was.Why would Singapore name a wharf and a street after a foreigner, unless he was famous for one reason or another. Maybe it has something to do with the British occupation.
I have a strong feeling they were named after my Great Grandfather, but can find no one who has the historical records relating to these place names.
Surely there must be a Governemnt Department in Singapore which can provide some details.
As far as I can tell Purvis Wharf no longer exists, but I have personally visited Purvis Street on two occasions, out of curiosity.
Who, in Singapore can give me a few leads? Please!!!

So i've never flown before, I am kinda nervous, I don't wanna freak out when the plane is in the air or goes to take off, i'm afraid of it crashing or something else going wrong. I'm also worried that during my lay over I might miss the other plane. Any advice on how to make this an enjoyable experience?
