Yup, for the past several weeks, it's been $3.19 here on Maui. And at the King's Shops Shell in Waikoloa on the Big Island of Hawai'i, they are paying $3.24!!! Check out http://www.hawaiigasprices.com/ for Hawai'i gas prices.
And for the whole enchilada, check out http://autos.msn.com/everyday/gasstations.aspx?zip=96732. The lowest gas in the U.S is in Macon, Georgia: $1.69 a gallon; and the highest is in Kaunakakai, Moloka'i, Hawai'i: $3.40. Technically Moloka'i is part of Maui County (Includes Kaho'olawe, Lanai'i, Moloka'i, and, of course, Maui island). Pretty nutz...

Wow! Wailuku prices are high! But then again, you don't have to pay for heating oil so your utility bill must be about the same during the summer and the winter, unlike those blokes on the mainland!
I don't think it sucks to be you. Despite your gas prices, you are a VERY lucky person and most people would LOVE to trade places with you, especially right about now.

Hey Maui guy! I'm on Kauai and we're paying about $2.89 right now (Costco is $.10 cheaper). Wonder why it's higher on Maui than here? I would expect that gas would be cheaper on Oahu, but would think outer islands would be about the same.
And for those of you who wrote "it sucks to be you" and things like that, at least we are living in Hawaii! I'd much rather live here and pay almost $3/gallon for gas than be in Kansas or some other crappy state! LOL

That is high, in Louisiana we are paying about $2.09 a gallon for regular. But isn't everything Higher in Hawaii?

Well...that is OVER a dollar per gallon more than what I pay here on the North East Coast so I would say....YES
